Don't know why everyone is going on about who we are moving on. We're stuck with these players for another 1 or 2 years.

No one will buy them because a. Their performance and b. Their wages

Do we all think we will be able to keep bilal? Im 50/50 leaning that we can convince to keep.

if its down to PSR i think Hermansen will generate enough profit to keep us compliant.

if the recruitment is good for a new striker then this starting top line is doing some damage in the championship with the unknown ceilings of Alves, Evans, Monga etc taking some good mins.

                       New

         Mavididi bilal fatawu

Also maybe unrealistic but i do wonder if we give Chelsea a good deal for Hermansen KDH could come back on loan to help us up?   Or am i getting drawn into the romance of football and him wanting to save us🤣

We can't pin the club's short term future on a 16 year old.

We need to do what we've not done in about 8 years and actually bring a proper striker in

Absolutely agree. That's why I said it would be unfair.

Bring him in for early rounds of the Carabao Cup against lower league opposition and give him gradually more minutes in league games as the season progresses to see how he gets on. If he's struggling by January, send him on loan to a decent League One or League Two side.

Our priority is bringing in strikers. I actually think we have a decent Championship foundation elsewhere- Stolarczyk is good enough between the sticks, Okoli, Nelson and Vestegaard are fine at CB - as would Souttar if Sheffield United don't go up. Coulibaly should be fine at that level as should Justin.

Centre mid is a worry in terms of creativity as there really isn't much if BEK goes so that's an important area to strengthen, but Fatawu, Mavididi and Alves should be good enough on the wings.

So we need a new striker and CAM in terms of first XI priority, as well as generally building depth.

We might be in a situation where all we need to buy is a goalkeeper (or two). If we can dip into the academy, our loans out come back and players can't be shifted due to wages we will be absolutely stacked for the Championship. The problem is the transition from Championship to Premiership.

The elephant in the room is PSR. It's so unclear as to what the financial implications will be.

Vardy is the answer and the problem. If we get him to sign another contract for a year we move the problem of replacing him on another year. I'd be happy to do that. Having Daka, Ayew and Evans in the ranks is enough if Vardy starts scoring. The sad fact is we actually need him gone. His wages, lack of legs and style of play don't fit anymore.

Looking forward to next season now. Keep Okoli in the team for the rest of the season, bring the academy lads through, hope we can keep hold of Bilal, shift as much deadwood as we can. We'll have a team we can get behind next year.

If you're leaning 50/50, surely that means you're standing up straight? :)

Gk - Stolarcyzk, New, Youth

Fullback - Coulibaly, Aluko, New, Justin/Thomas

Centreback - Souttar, Nelson, Okoli, New

Centre-Mid - Skipp, Winks, Ricardo, Choudhury

Winger - Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Mcateer, Alves

10 - BEK, New

Striker - New, New, Evans

This would rely on us shifting Mads, Coady, Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiensen, Soumare, Ndidi, BDCR, Ayew and Daka. Vardy, Ward and Iversen to leave at end of contract.

If any don’t leave they could fill in the gaps.

That was supposed to be happening in January supposedly

I’d get at least a semi if this happens.

There is no planet in the universe where these guys get an offer even remotely related to ours, even allowing for relegation reductions.

The only way these guys are out is if, as I hope (but don't expect), they are frozen out of the squad and asked to train alone away from the squad  at Belvoir Drive.

Could probably post one of these every week, but will try and keep it to a monthly thing. (New signings in bold)

Goalkeepers - Stolarczyk, bring in an experienced backup.

Sell Mads (if we get a decent offer, if not, he's first choice over Stol). Ward and Iversen get released.

Full backs - New RB, Coulibaly, New LB, Thomas.

Sell JJ and VK, allow Ricardo to go back to Portugal (should he wish). I'd go for Alfie Gilchrist as the new RB, with Alfie Doughty from a relegated Luton at LB.

Centre backs - Nelson, New CB, Vestergaard, Souttar (Unless Coady has to stay)

Okoli back to Italy, maybe a loan. Faes gets sold. Hopefully we can shift Coady too. Matthew Pollock at Watford would be my shout for new CB

Centre midfielders - Winks, Skipp, Hamza, Braybrooke and one newbie.

Sell Wilf and Bouba. Bring in Lennon Miller from Motherwell.

Wingers - Fatawu, Mavididi, Alves, McAteer, Monga.

Self-explanatory, hopefully Monga sticks with us. Shift out BDCR and Ayew by any means necessary.

Attacking Midfielder - I think BEK heads out to Europe, but hopefully I'm wrong. If I'm right, it's the one position where I'm unsure on replacement.

Centre Forward - 2x newbies and Jake Evans. Yes I know Evans is probably more of a winger but think both he and Lorenz Hutchinson could be good squad options next year at CF. Sell Daka, time for Vardy to try a final chapter elsewhere. Obvious new signing for me is Richard Kone at Wycombe, although I'm becoming increasingly unsure on him. My ambitions signing would be Kyogo Furuhashi who has not settled at all at Rennes, and whilst he's at an age where we wouldn't see resale value, he would easily bag 15-20 for us in the championship. Other potential signings could be Mathias Kvistgaarden or Josh Sargent.

Potential starting 11 of:

                      Stolarczyk

Gilchrist Pollock Nelson Doughty

                        Winks

                Miller          Skipp

Fatawu.                             Mavididi

                        Kyogo

I can see Vestergaard having suitors abroad, he’d do ok in Italy, Germany or France. International recognition will create interest.

Ayew will get a move. He’s not as bad as made out on here.

BCDR and Coady could get interest due to PL experience and dressing room influence, basically why we bought them.

When we played Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the summariser (forget who it was) was saying that Chelsea are no longer interested in Mads as he's been deemed too short. He seemed to think a few top clubs have looked at him but come to the same conclusion. That seems mad to me as he's over 6 foot!

Big Ange and Kyogo reunion 😂 I like this apart from Doughty I don’t think he’s very good better options out there! I’d like if we got Kuame Poku on a free transfer.

I'm at huge Poku fan, just don't see where he fits unless Monga goes and we look at Alves as more of a number 10?

Doughty, defensively is nowhere near PL level, and I'd look to improve if we went up. But for a team dominating possession, his delivery could be a huge asset for us, similar to Leif Davis at Ipswich really.

Need to offload as much of the high earns and deadwood.

We need to get rid of as many of Faes, Daka, Soumare, Ayew, BDCR, Vestergaard , Coady, Thomas, Kristiansen as we can.

Probably add Vardy and Ndidi to that list too.

Surely BEK has got to be sold to comply with PSR? Selling Mads alone won't be enough to keep the wolves from the door.

Just can't see anyone exceeding the 18m we paid for him. I imagine he goes abroad for a half decent loan fee and wages off the books.

Not convinced Mads will fetch what we want or need. The 40 odd million we hoped for (after Arsenal away earlier this season) looks fanciful. If anything,  we might have to offload Stolarcyk for 5m, it being clear profit.

Same goes for Nelson potentially.

Gonna be a tough summer

No point in flogging these. We will only need to replace them.

It is wages that kill us. Getting the likes of Ward and Vardy gone for starters

will be good. Even if we send a couple on loan to save wages.

If we sell Nelson to get a few mill profit to fund the wages of Vestergaard, Coady, Ndidi and Winks the club needs to be wound up

I would rather us get a points deduction and get our shit straight until we can have a better clear out next summer.

I can’t believe people get misty eyed over Maresca when he has just contributed to making this situation last longer with Winks and Coady as well as new deals for Vestergaard and Ndidi that he presumably green lighted before he left!
