Nope - want Wrexham to be stuffed. Overhyped.

Looking a their side it’s nothing special….  It’s full of old, average championship players.

Not getting a shot on target from open play, scoring a penalty and shouting "that's what I do" to the fans of a newly promoted side.

Yeah, he also had that fake accent that no Yorkshire person has but I hear far too often.

Bloke will achieve square root of feck all in the game.

Was impartial towards him before that interview 😂

I've watched the Brum documentary, and I hope we stuff them even more now lol

Can totally agree with this.

With the points deduction, the way I’m looking at it is we are having a bad start. Say we get 9 points (I think the 12 is excessive and unlikely), we have to win two if not three of our first 3. Alongside that, those who will be up there can’t have a perfect first 3. It means by the time we get to game 4, yes we are playing catch up but catching up 4/5 points in this league is easy at this stage and lot more attainable than 9.

Yesterday’s result was very positive. We’ve got the class in this league, they just need to put it on the pitch. Keep the magic 3 too.

Say what you want about Wrexham but their yank owners are nowhere near as bad as whatever Birmingham have got going on.

Rob & Ryan are a bit cringe but Brady & Wagner are on one hell of an ego trip.

Just seen the result from last night which is pretty good in the end. Ipswich getting a 95th min pen seems like the sort of thing that happened a couple of seasons ago not sure if it was it wasn’t deserved but they always seemed to get something late on

Always play until the man in black blows.

Birmingham have the very start of a decent side, but not at the level most thought they would be yet…still back them for play offs.

Shocked that Brendan’s apprentice sits back on a 1-0 lead.

Ipswich back to late goals, but will be classed as the underperforming favourite as opposed to plucky underdog this time. McKenna had clear patterns last time and they seem to have just disappeared, not sure why they’ve switched to two out and out wingers.

Hard to not feel arrogant but…we’re a fair bit better than these aren’t we?

Was it me or was that a very narrow pitch ?

Difficult for wingers to get going due to lack of space.

I know already mentioned by others but it can't be right for any club going into a new season having the uncertainty of what points deduction there is going to be. The whole psr rigmarole is not fit for purpose anyway.

I think the Sheffield Wednesday thing might have muddied the PSR waters,

Am I correct in thinking that they are PSR compliant?

Didn't think Birmingham looked up to much, they were just quite dirty - Like that Sunday league team full of knuckle draggers you dread playing every year.

Ipswich were honking but as per usual, get gifted some kind of result through luck alone.

Hoping Southampton put an abrupt end to the Wrexham party this afternoon.

Think it will be quite tight between 5/6 clubs at the top this season. Can’t see any of the teams running away with it. My predictions would be the below, although likely miles off it now:

Don’t think Southampton are up to much. Promoted in 4th place two years ago a long way off the top,  almost a record low points total last year and look likely to lose Dibling their one bright spark. Surprised so many predictions have them as one of the automatic promotion picks, think they will do well to make the playoffs.

Expecting the likes of Cov and Norwich to be up there challenging towards the top and probably get play off places. Birmingham I think will have a good season with their momentum, but still think they will get play offs best case. Sheffield Utd will be up there again, although think they are weaker than last year. Wrexham will have an up and down season, expecting some decent scalps but also some inconsistency and probably finish around midtable/ bottom half.

So thinking (hoping) the title/ automatic spots will likely come down to Leicester and Ipswich again. Would put Ipswich as slight favourites given the probability of us receiving a points deduction.

1. Ipswich

2. Leicester

—————————

3. Norwich

4. Sheffield Utd

5. Southampton

6. Coventry

Still not sure why he got a yellow card for that?

Ronaldo can do his folded arms shite, Mavididi just sat there and got a yellow. Bollux!

Sorry if this is off topic, but you're absolutely right.

The football public (us) complain when footballers show no character -  & yet when they do - they get punished by the authorities...

Weird.

Im not sure about Ipswich - been saying it all pre season. I thought they looked awful yesterday and need to find many gears to prove to me that they are going to win this. Hirst is a dreadful striker and thought they looked gassed.

Somebody said this line earlier in the week and were absolutely bang right. The only team who can stop us is ourselves.

One of the issues is that we're still a team which can be bullied by the opposition when it comes down to physicality. Birmingham were atrocious yesterday imo. No tactical plan at all, their only plan was to make this a scrappy affair. I'll risk it and say they'll be in the relegation battle zone.
