After all the hype, Birmingham and Wrexham being locked in a relegation battle while Charlton do okay would be VERY funny.

I went for Norwich v Millwall. Presented by the Norwich equiv of Foxeshub... its hard work. But wanted to see the mighty Millwall since i'm hearing are promotional contenders. (and know fa about them)

Alright, everyone here knows I'm a fan of Still for many years now, Southampton weren't good but for sure it wasn't pedestrian football. You're exaggerating a bit.

It felt very pedestrian and the commentators remarked several times how they were too slow and letting Wrexham get back in numbers and set.

It was only really when it got to sh*t or bust time that they picked up the tempo.

I won't write the guy off after 1 game, it's a long season and you'd expect Southampton to improve, it was mainly that it just reminded me of the many grim matches we had under Enzo where there felt like there was no purpose until desperation kicked in late on.

Just like under Enzo, we often found a way with our quality at the death when he or the players decided to abandon the possession at all costs philosophy. I swear we scored 6 winners in the last 5 minutes in the first 6 or 7 games haha.

Watching Norwich as some have them "Dark horses".

Another side with no athleticism, struggling against a bunch of Milwall plodders. These Milwall plodders, judging by their line up, are practically the same bunch as when we were last in this league and somehow challenged for Play offs last Season.

We're another striker option away from having a considerably better squad than when we were last at this level. Sides aren't going to be able to cope with our athleticism. Soumare's gonna look like Vieira.

Been working in Brazil and Spain at this level but point is people complain the Pozzos are quick to change managers but really some of our fans are no better .

Maybe it’s a reality check for those who got hyped up and excited.

Is there a lot of expectation around Watford this Season?

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about the game from probably League 1 upwards, and never heard of any of your side, bar an ageing Sissoko/Ince, Louza and the lad from West Ham who has seemingly yet to kick on.

Hadn't realised Charlton signed Knibbs though, looked good for Reading last Season, very athletic lad, ideal signing for a newly promoted side.

Iverson with an assist

Brilliant goal that.

No fannying around

Time will obviously tell, but this has the feel of a significantly weaker Championship than it was a couple of seasons ago.

Listening to 5Live and this baffling overlooking of Leicester was clear there too. Charlie Adam talking nonsense about managerial styles but beyond that and the loss of Vardy, not a lot was said. Owynn PA just mentioned a bloated squad and that was about it.

Norwich have been unimpressive, but this Millwall line up is quite different. Only 3 of the 11 that beat us at the den are starting today.

Is Millwall's keeper really called that? The MILLWALL keeper? He must have a right pair lol

We should be achieving more than 110 points based on the squad we have.  It boils down to putting goals past an 11 man defence most weeks.

The points deduction will be irrelevant.

No chance. We won't hit 100 points this season.

Their Defender Japhet Tanganga is very underrated.
