Proper acting like twats celebrating that win as they did

Acting like they've just won promotion, way over the top. Group photo with about 30 backroom staff. FFS.

They did that when they won earlier in the season at Hillsborough.

Also note Newcastle did this after beating Sunderland in the FA Cup a couple of years ago.

I don’t know why it’s a thing now. We used to take the piss out of Arsenal for doing it after they beat us.

Shit way for it to happen, but kind of relieved for the Owls now. They knew they were down, now that's over and done with they can just try to enjoy the rest of the season as much as they can. Maybe it'll speed up the takeover too, now relegation is officially confirmed.

Mind, I'd like if this didn't give them a bounce when they face us 😅

We didn’t do it just because it was them, we’ve done it since Howe came in. Every win is accompanied by a group photo. Usually in the dressing room but the win at Sunderland presented an impromptu opportunity to do it with the fans behind the goal.

Every win? So even if you played Bristol Rovers in the FA cup 3rd round at home and beat them 1-0 you'd do a group photo?

Correct.

Did one beating Qarabag this week and have done for Bromley, Wimbledon etc.

It started off as a celebration as Howe got his first win (as we were incredible shite and on the way down at that point), I think as a togetherness morale type thing. It’s just carried on and never stopped.

Wasn’t that long ago people were saying how awful Southampton squad was

Shows what a better manager can do with the same squad.

Was it a red for Phillips?

Has the game really gone?

That was a standard challenge back in the 90s. You wouldn’t even get a foul for it.

It was more of a what a ref would call a 'naughty challenge' rather than a serious challenge. Its a yellow card and nothing more. I think the ref would look back at the footage and think it was probably a harsh red.

Hard to see Coventry blowing it from here

Many more twists and turns to come as far as the autos are concerned, Sheff Utd is a very tough fixture for them. Low-mid 80s should be enough to secure it this year I think.

Was it a standard challenge back then? It was high and could have caused an injury. The players knew it, even Phillips put his hand up.

WBA have Charlton and then Oxford in their next 2, fully expect us to be cut adrift a little here.

We lost to both and WBA are just as shite as we have been. Lets see.

The quality is so poor in this league. This is a truly awful game.

I keep reading these posts, but most teams I watch are fine.  The worst team I have seen is ourselves and I am not kidding.

I feel these type of comments is when people have got too used to watching glory games.  Not sure what they expecting from the second tier.

Remember it isnt poor just because people arent trying to play like Barca.

The only difference this season is there's normally 2 or 3 relegated clubs at the top of the table pulling away from the majority of the other sides. The better 2 sides are in 4th and 11th. We would normally be in 2nd or 3rd with our current points total.

Quite. It is a bit weird when people want to see players get injured and allow dangerous tackles like that to go unpunished just cos they might have got away with it "back in the day."

Phillips had just played the ball at this stage. The Sheffield Wednesday player is low trying to block it.

It is not like he has gone in at knee height in a 50/50. He played the ball and his momentum has carried him through, against a player that is low the the ground.

Is this was one of our players, you wouldn’t be happy with it.

Football is quickly becoming a none contact sport.

The Sheff Wed player has played the ref there without a doubt, in his 2nd movement on the ground he twists to get the refs attention putting his hand up when he sees that he’s clocked him he starts to roll.

We all know if your properly hurt you lie still to protect yourself you don’t look for the ref prior to rubbing your knee.

As you say Phillips has played the ball with the Wednesday player coming through whilst Phillips leg is going into extension after he plays the ball, the still is pointless in isolation & shouldn’t be used to make a call.

I think we already know footballs gone
