I believe David Ozoh is out of contract at Palace. Played 33 games on loan at Derby last season. Had game time in the Prem with Palace. Only 21 and would be great if he’d drop down for guaranteed game time.

Saw a link to Conor Chaplin on Facebook on a free transfer.   Was a major influence on Ipswich getting promoted from L1 and has a good record at that level.  Apparently got a good character off the pitch too which would a bonus for us.  

 

And as someone helpfully commented on Facebook,  Conor can also read our last rites for us 🙄

Guaranteed game time? The only thing guaranteed at this club is a player will commit highly praised and sought after by the manager, who will then give him exactly zero minutes on the pitch and deny ever talking him up. Lol

I do think we are at a stage where beggars cant be choosers, but looking at who I can see is available from the Championship (happy to be corrected)

 

Jeff Schlupp - used as a utility man which could become important

Lewis Baker - experience, was Stoke skipper until just recently

Joe Bryan - left back highlighted last season as a problem area

Marcus Forss - had his issues with injuries, but could be worth a punt

 

experienced players who can offer support to a predominantly young squad.

34 year old who managed 1000 minutes for Bristol City last season?

 

What does he bring apart from being yet another blocker for the likes of Braybrooke and Page? Let's not forget the likes of Logan briggs either. Especially given we aren't guaranteed to offload Skipp and Winks.

 

More players winding down their career and being brought in as personality hires is not how we fix the culture at this club, it can only be fixed by trusting young hungry players looking to prove themselves.

No point signing Morsy if we have Winks, Skipp and Choudhury still on the books.
