I've always felt the board would love Gerrard here, but imagine we don't see him in the UK for a while to stop his Saudi earnings being taxed

Appointing a manager just because he was a good player? Our board would never...

Our board loves a manager that has won the SPL

No manager with any credibility would touch this place until wholesale changes at board level are done.

So we are left with dross options sadly!

I reckon Gerrard would throw his hat into the ring, he’s not getting another premier league gig at a higher end / mid table team, and if not can see him managing us and also in the championship when we get relegated.

Gerrard would be a ****ing disaster.

Sack RVN give it to King to the end of the season then see who is available for the championship.

I personally think that’s why he’s been made a coach.

I think we’ll just give the job to Brian Barry-Murphy with King as an assistant.

I'm totally in agreement with you there. That will happen, its just a question of when. My betting is that RvN will stay until the end of the season and resign, leaving those two in charge (hopefully with a bit more Coaching and financial support than he has had!).

It will be Barry-Murphy.

If it isn’t, please for the love of god think outside of the box. There is a whole world of managers out there.

That does seem the most likely scenario. As is said, its just a question of when.

No credible manager with any sanity is going to come to the KP right now. Club is a mess from top to bottom

No we’re not left with dross. You’re just punting around the big names.

We should go lower and try a manager who has been successful in the football league.

For me, Wellens has done enough now for him to get a crack in the Championship. Successful at Swindon and now Leyton Orient (ignoring the mess of Oldham and Salford). I don’t think he would stand for certain players and always seemed knowledgeable about football.

We’ve got the get away from the big names, although I don’t think this ownership will.

Situationally Dyche is likely the best available option if we seriously want to try and stay up.

However the addition of Andy King to the coaching team is curious, almost like we have some kind of transition plan, but that clearly cannot be the case.

Vardy player/manager

King as assistant

Because Vardy has shown all the attributes to be a great manager.

Sean Dyche would be best.

Not much point now we're done for. Idk if we keep Ruud and let him rebuild in championship or let someone else do it.

Sad times. How can a team within 10 years win the premier league and FA cup, top 10 in table and drop off. Utterly shameful
