Yeah bit of a legend there by all accounts. They refer to him as the Norfolk Cafu. I just think he's a cvnt 1 1

Ethan RL Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 once again though we have shot ourselves in the foot. RVN apparently isn't leaving unless he gets compensation so that would probs indicate that he'll be here by June still, by which point Rohl will probably have been picked up by another team (e.g Southampton). Knowing our board asw they will probably only begin the search once RVN leaves. Clowns. West Brom could easily enquire about Dyche. We really aren't helping ourselves, we never do. Got no optimism whatsoever that the frauds upstairs will get the right manager in and quickly. 1
Ethan RL Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 (edited) I see a situation where we are left with limited options. West Brom, Norwich and Southampton all looking for new managers. We've still got RVN. Dyche and/or Rohl will get picked up I'd assume. Russel could go Norwich but that is a good thing imo. The board clearly interested in him though. Fabregas seems unrealistic. Which leaves Lee Carsley from the names we've heard. Doesn't fill me w much confidence. Looking bleak already ffs. Edited 22 April 2025 by Ethan RL

He’ll probably hate young players like Cooper knowing our luck too. Could well be another Taylor

Ethan RL Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 In fairness they got it right last time w enzo in the champ. Can only hope. With multiple clubs looking for managers though, and us seemingly being stuck w RVN until the new financial year, we may be at a huge disadvantage.
winteriscoming Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 Hopefully if Norwich don’t take Martin west Brom will.
Ricey Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 Carsley, like RvN, is another risk without enough experience behind him. A name being thrown around just because of a high profile Caretaker spell. Very little club experience, only a period as England U21 manager to judge him by, which is as far removed from club management as you are going to get. Personally I was massively underwhelmed by his time as Caretaker with England. I don’t think he communicated very well, I don’t think he had the air of a leader about him and he showed real tactical naivety in some of the matches. 1
john ridley Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 Not massively keen on Dyche but heads need to be knocked together and pride and passion needs to come back ,if a ny player not up for it ,get rid ,need to be ruthless or we are going nowhere except down .
VLC86 Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 I think the time for a Dyche based appointment has passed and would much rather go for someone with a long term philosophy. If we bounce straight back the only thing it does is enable us to continue hemorrhaging money. Get someone in that rebuilds us from top to bottom and aim to stay up when we return. With the loses we continue to make, it’s a huge risk and if we get it wrong we disappear into oblivion but this season has been beyond demoralising.
Spudulike Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 I was advocating for Moyes before the RvN appointment but got shouted down by most. Dyche is not my cup of tea but is exactly what we need in the circumstances. He should be our top priority but perhaps, like Moyes, he'll not fancy it. The club need to move very quickly to give, whoever they decide, the maximum time. No more excuses. 2
Foxin_Mad Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 Jesus wept Id rather keep Ruud than Dyche honestly
Skidmark Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 Dyche is everything this club needs. Robust no-nonsense individual who won't take any rubbish from players e.g. Winks, Coady, Vardy. Not afraid to cut the wage bill and move on players who are tosh. A shrewd operator who can get the best out of his team. Can build strong teams that have previous in staying up in the Premier League. (It's what we need) Lives local. It might not be what the fans want, but it's exactly what the club need. I worked with a bloke who knew him at school, and he said he was a sh*thouse back in the day not to be messed with. 3

RowlattsFox Posted 22 April 2025 Posted 22 April 2025 All a much of muchness for me. Its weird that some championship managers get good reputations when others don't, despite achieving the same. I don't think I could choose a 'preference', that is realistic anyway.

He's got about 8yrs experience in the prem including getting Burnley in to europe and keeping Everton up with no money whilst the club was in disarray. He has experience as a championship manger including promotions. If he is interested in coming we should be biting his hand off. We are literally a poison chalice for managers now and he is more than good enough for us, if not better than what we deserve. Get him in. 1

He isn’t exactly what the club need because his squad building means he doesn’t have the ability to improve a player to the point they make a substantial profit. He has a poor track record of developing youngsters
