Readily available managers gettable and better for us imo than Martin

Quique Sanchez Flores

Surprised you’re not calling for Slavisa Jokanovic, Javi Gracia and Xisco Munoz

Just my opinion but I really don’t want Martin. I’m not Watford obsessed but they’ve had some decent managers who’ve done ok in difficult circumstances.
Out of interest who do you want?

After seeing a lot of Sanchez Flores’ second spell at Watford, I’d scrap him from your list mate lol

Who do I want? Now Will Still has been snapped up, I’m struggling to get enamoured by anyone realistic.

Of the names linked I’d edge towards Rohl, but he’d come with a bit of uncertainty in certain areas. I like what Mousinho has done at Pompey, but doubt we’d go near him. Names abroad, if you want someone that will do a decent job with our youth, then I’d give Carles Martinez at Toulouse the edge, but doubt we’d go near him either.

Those out of work, as I’ve said many times in this thread, it’s just such an uninspiring list. Of names that I think are realistic, I’d lean towards Brian Priske, he has shown he can be a winner, albeit in lesser quality leagues. Thought Cleverley and Selles were both harshly sacked, but can’t see our board going near them either.

Lisci is very close to getting the job done with Mirandes which would be a huge achievement, still think he'd be achievable even if they do go up

The problem we have is, all the names you have listed would require the clowns who make the decisions at the club to actually show a bit of imagination and that's beyond them.

Easy option of a known or big name is their limit. I'll admit Enzo was a bit of an unknown and a surprise, but 9 times out of 10 they will revert to the method above.

We all.know until there is a major change at board at least we will never move forward.

I wonder what's happened to the list of candidates we were looking at when we appointed Enzo.  We were looking at that young lad at Arsenal, Carlos Cuesta.  I mean, come on, the name's a fxxking clue surely?!

It’s RM mate there’s even rumours of him now getting his backroom staff ready to join him - Henrik Pedersen from Sheffield Wednesday

We are ****ed if this is true, many years in the absolute abyss asleep at the sideways dross. Hopefully the bellend is sacked by Christmas.

I’ve mentioned him before, but I imagine someone in the championship (a Norwich perhaps) will get Jimmy Thelin and he’ll go on to do very well.

Jess Thorup

Urs Fischer

Tom Cleverley

Ralph Hassenhutl

Martin Demichelis

Carlos Carvahal

Bo Svensson

Brian Priske

Quique Sanchez Flores

Pierre Sage

It’s so predictable and short term solution to go for Martin. Really hope we at least look abroad. Hasn’t done any harm to Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton.

This is absolutely it. Top and co are so out of touch. It’s actually unbelievable how incompetent and out of touch.

’We must play like Man City’. This is despite the actual Man City and Pep struggling more and more now this style has been found out. Meanwhile, teams doing well have now adopted alternative ways of playing.

’We must have PL experience’. Meanwhile all the clubs you have mentioned are using data and scouting to recruit not just players but managers from abroad.

Clearly Top’s method is solid though. I mean who wants to be an established Premier League team with no PSR troubles anyway?

Come on Russell Martin of 12 points Southampton doesn’t even deserve to clean Claudios boots, they are on different planets, Claudio is a gentleman who has achieved much in the game, Martin is a fraud who built a piss weak tippy tappy team to almost beat Derbys record. It’s almost insulting to make a comparison.

Didn't Ranieri lose to the Faroe Islands as manager of Greece?

All i'm saying is give the chap a chance.

How about Amagud Manija, Getje Prao-Mowshen or Bladifor Fortew?

Dreading Martin. Will be like Cooper again with us just wasting time and money.

Agreed, completely wrong appointment  - he might just get us back up but then what?  We won't be able to afford to sack him again and no way he'll change his style of play for the PL so we'll just get relegated again and so it goes on.

Will it be weaker though?

At present we've lost Vardy. That's massive but other than him right now we're not much different to the side that got promoted. The defence is the same bar Okoli and VK instead of Doyle. The midfield is the same bar KDH for Bilal. Mav and Fatawu were and still are our wingers. Daka got 7 in 20 apps last time and we've got a window to bring players in and get some loans going as well as potentially some exciting youngsters to play.

If you factor in Nelson and Souttar and to a lesser degree Alves I'm not sure it'll be weaker really. Time will tell, it's not a cert either way right now. But it's not as though we were an elite squad and now we're poor. It's just poor by Prem standards. Which doesn't matter.

The points deduction is the big factor. I agree on that. The not knowing being dragged on can be just as bad as taking the hit as we found out last summer.

A far weaker squad easy. We had more assets to sell in Barnes, Maddison etc.. and alot we gave away for free thanks to JR.

Given we'd finished 8th the season before we had quality in the squad.

We have less desirable players to sell on Mads, bilal will make up the bulk of player sales.

I agree we have some green shots in youth so it's critical we get the right manager to blend them into a cohesive unit.

Jimmy Thelin

When people have wider knowledge than me, it would be good,f they had time, to include more information.

I've heard of Rylan Clarke  and I think it would be a brave move to bring him in.  I am not sure he would be better than RVN but he puts a lot of work I to his facial hair.

I have  no idea if Jimmy Thelin is a genuine shout or a Love Island wannabe

Aberdeen manager, won a cup in Scotland yesterday, finished 39 points behind Celtic, 22 points behind Rangers, and 5th in the Scot Prem, not the greatest advert for a Leicester Managerial position.

Yes. Not just in the quality of the squad but the attitude of the players. The choice of manager is key. Last time there was more of a pass from the fans as it was the first relegation, this doesn't wash now.

We will need to sell players and replacing them won't be straightforward. This is very different to two years ago.
