Always find it fascinating that we didn’t do better in the 1920’s and 1930’s

Leicester was the richest city outside London in this era believe it or not

We did finish 2nd and 3rd in the 20s.

I don't suppose success was quite so dependent upon money in those days mind.

That was the era when Filbert St should've been rebuilt as it would've set the tone for decades to come and we'd probably still be there now. Plans were in for another double-decker over the Pop Side but it never happened.

No chance it'll be a foreign dude we haven't heard of - Rudkin is unaware of the serious pool of managers available on the continent.

Easier for Top and Rudkin to appoint a so called experienced name ... so when it all goes tits up again and it will if Top doesn't put his house in order .... far easier to lay the blame at the managers door than their own

Yeah could have ended up with Filbert st being like a Goodison or a Highbury

The ITK who said the Russell Martin rumour was rubbish says we don’t have money to pay for Rohl’s compensation so that move only happens if he agrees a buy out with them. Also likely to rely on free transfers.

Weve just got money for the assistant and the GK coach.

I'm convinced it's going to be Gary O'Neil

I think this is likely the case

Looking at the youth today, I’m surprised that some fans wouldn’t take Hasenhuttl.

Of free agents available, you won’t find many better that have the track record he has in terms of youth development.

No doubt I’d prefer Hassenhuttl over O’Neil, Carrick, Dyche, Wilder etc.

But not over Rohl, Powell and Lense.

Mostly agree with that but I am not completely opposed to the idea of Wilder if we can't get Rohl, Powell or Hassenhuttl.

Not keen on the likes of Carrick, Dyche or even O'Neil etc.

still think we need to appoint someone whos going to take us and the youth we have forward,

rather Rohl still,

appointing Kingy would be the biggest cop out going, hes only been full time coaching for what less than a year, its totally throwing him into the deep end with the sharks,

i do look at it this way tho, when Kingy was interviewed, he did say "whoever comes in" a few times, so Im guessing hes been told they are trying to get something sorted

I do think Kingy will become a manager in time but right now is far far too early

Russell Martin was offered the job and this has come direct from Martin's best friend, which i'm not sure why he would make that up.

do you think Martin played us and Rangers against each other in that respect, to get rangers moving on with it

Personally always saw RM going Rangers, which he did, as frankly someone with ego would

He was supposedly interviewed and offered the job several weeks before RvN was informed he was going and sacked. From the other things Martin's pal has said, it is not surprise Brussell had concerns about taking the job.

The positives are he was told the club is up for sale and that we don't think the points deduction will be significant so promotion is still the aim/expectation. (Deluded?)

Yeah, that was my take. Tanner said effectively Martin and his team were doing their own PR and the owners would have been put off if they were interested by the fan reaction vs. Bournemouth.

@Ric FlairThat’s some source so fair enough!
