How did it pan out this morning?

Thanks for asking! It's all been sorted. She spoke to someone called Hannah, who works with Jim, and has secured her seat for another season. Supposedly Hannah was very nice and helpful, so at least the club gets some things right!

Auto renewed because of DD. I'd not be there next season otherwise. I'm as apathetic and lazy as everyone else at the football club and I actually do feel like a tiny part of the problem as a result. I doubt I'll go to many games next season and it'll likely be my last. I have more important and enjoyable things going on in my life now.

Renewed. As sad as it is i'm actually a bigger fan of the championship than the prem. Utterly sick of it. I'm not sure i'll renew if we get promoted. Is there something wrong with me for thinking this? For the record, I share the sentiment that our club is run like a circus so if that carry's on i'll more than likely bin it off regardless of which league we're in next time renewal comes up.

What a mess.

As I stated in previous thread, no didn't bother don't really care.

I will however along with my wife renew our Women's season tickets.

A much more enjoyable atmosphere and match experience.

Don't care what the mens team do anymore, for the ladies hopefully see even more improvement next season.

That's way higher than another number that's floating around.

That would mean only 14k renewed, which is lower than even when we were in league 1 and 7k lower than Cov currently have.

Oh yeah, not doubting that - FoxesTalk is only really a small section of the fanbase and I doubt it's gonna be anywhere near a 36-38% drop off.

But even if a fraction of that ratio follow suit in the wider fanbase it will still be a massive drop-off.

From LCFC's latest reporting, we've got around 25,000 season ticket holders. Let's say 10% of them bin theirs off - that's still 2,500 empty seats on top of the dwindling number bothering from membership and general sale. We're already struggling to hit 30k now, we could well see sub-25k become the norm if we don't hit the ground running like last time.

I think the use of weasel words in emails to suggest (LIE) to ST holders that their auto-renewal can't be reversed shows how worried the club are about people packing it in. Be very interesting to see how many fence-sitters actually bothered to challenge it and cancelled.

I know what you mean. I know the quality in the Championship isn't great but I enjoy it.

It's more physical, players can still tackle without getting sent off, and of course there's no VAR (yet) to ruin everything.

Fewer tourists, more midweek games, and better atmospheres than most PL grounds.

The championship just feels more real and honest football to me.

Doesn't feel more honest to me. Time wasting is as bad, if not worse, than the Premier League.  Player body language changes just the same as soon as a lead is taken. All aided and condoned by officials. Remember Hull last season? And only 3 minutes stoppage time.

My son and I have not renewed, my physical support comes to a sad end after 60+ years.

It's not just about the current state of the club it's about the current state of football, well the PL as well.

The ever growing imbalance and with the media's obsession with the 6.

Never being able to build a team as the club is forced to sell to survive.

The treatment of fans with things like forcing electronic ticketing on fans

The focus on here today gone tomorrow fans

The topsy turvy KOs especially the late evening ones as I can no longer get the bus to these.

I could go on but I find myself asking before each match should I bother going and it's a struggle to say yes as I'm not and have not been enjoying going for a while now.

I'll always be interested in how they are doing and will try and watch some games at home but that's it for me.

I've never had a season ticket as, when I was pitch-side paramedic I got to see nearly all home games free!

They were the good years and I retired 3 years ago. I have considered a ST since then but the cost was beyond my means so I would go to a few home games when I could.

Now I wouldn't bother at all. Again cost is an issue and would I really want to?

My mate has a ST and a box (Arrow Precision if you want to look for it) and he has been pondering about renewal for next season because it's become so expensive and the gratuities for having a box have been cut right back.

How much is a box down there?

Someone  I know has one and I was told it’s around £50k a season but a lot of price variations due to location, type of hospitality you have etc, but it’s mainly companies treating future clients etc that buy them.

Years ago before KP uniformed it all they had different typeface signs up usually in the font of the company, one was called Harry’s Gang, my mate used to say  they’d be a right lot to be with, no doubt beered up before kick off.

Could have been totally different and just a companies name.

Someone I know tried to renew for himself and his son by phone on deadline day but had problems and then experienced technical difficulties trying to do so online. He rang first thing the following to be told that if he wanted season tickets they would now be charged at new ST holder prices i.e. £200 more.

Mind boggling that the club treats fans that have had STs for 15/20 years in such a manner.

Ridiculous

DD is not a reason to just auto renew.

This thread made me feel old, terrible season and its not over yet and i don`t see a miracle this time.

Reminds me of the not so good old days when we were the original yo-yo up down club in the 70s 80s and 90s.

We often used to talk about not renewing then, but mostly did because somewhere , somehow you still felt the club had a heart and deserved your support.

Are they not now aware of how the club feels about them?

Surely you tell the club to **** off if you have any self respect?

I think that is what he's going to do

Officials were terrible last season, really weak. ‘The Championship is more honest with tackles flying in and features football played by real men’ is an answer taken from chatGPT by an American who is working in the uk office all week and is prepping to come out for beers with everyone on Thursday night under instruction to be social

There won’t be 2,500 empty seats, there’s a waiting list that’ll pick up those season tickets.

Yeah to be fair i made that post then 5 minutes later read about the waiting list for season tickets. I can only imagine they're folks that did so years ago, because I'd question the mental capacity of anyone who joined the list since the FA Cup win. lol

TBH I can't remember exactly.

I seem to recall was around 4 thousand per season for his executive box all inclusive.

However now, all inclusive no longer extends to food and served meals for invited clients and only applies to his named guests i.e. his family, so any extra invited clients incur an additional cost which is one of the reasons he's thinking of ditching it.

I can't say I blame him

Agreed. If you stop your DD before renewal. Provided your proactive of course, otherwise you've committed yourself to another season and potentially wasted your money.

Yep, I would go for around the 5k mark.

Whilst that is absolutely terrible, if he knew he was going to renew, why wait?
