Thought the doc was objectively brilliant. Not much we dont already know but we'll put together and the story is genuinely miraculous. So much of that season makes me weep, and tonight was no different, only added tears this time knowing we'd be a broken club 10 years later.

I’m going to watch this tomorrow but it’s not looking good on the tears front though, by the sounds of it 😩

Just watched it, so emotional to look back on not only what he achieved but how we collectively won the league was just insane.

Compare this to now it’s so sad!

It was nice to relive times when we weren't a complete shit show and we could be proud of our club.

Lovely to see Nige again too

He looked really well didn’t he.

Some thoughts on this:

  • The narrative arc ended at the 2016 title win. Just as important IMO is the longevity he showed for the next 6 years, hitting the 20 goal mark whether we were good or average, highest scoring player in the Prem over 30
  • Shame they didn't ask him more about loyalty to Leicester; was sort of implied but more to the story than that
  • Too much Rebekah for my liking, others may disagree

Without missing an opp to stick the boot in to the current shit show:

  • He was still playing for us this time last year; yet nobody at the club currently was either sought (Vardy didn't want to?) or would agree to it. Either way, that's a disgrace
  • How the **** did we end up with Wes Morgan being interviewed at the City Ground? And what looks like Dave Rennie in the Notts dressing room? I assume because the club refused access to their facilities. Again :appl:
  • I mainly felt sad towards the end. Sad that structures and culture built by Nigel have been dismantled or decayed.

I must admit it was all pretty surface level stuff and like you say only told half of his story here. Didn't even mention the Arsenal rumours. I'll watch anything to do with the bloke or the club during that time but it did leave me feeling a bit short changed on what I expected.

I said the same to my girlfriend about Wes being at the shitty ground instead of the KP. Can't let anyone behind the curtain maybe

On the plus side it was nice to see Nige looking so well and a few other faces from the glory years

Back to reality again now lol

My only hope is they were waiting to see viewing figures and will do a part 2 - there's enough for it post 2016

Other than also feeling a bit short changed in that regard, thought it was great. Club should have just screened that and put a few less vardy centric clips either side rather than their farce last minute friendly.

Thought his agent came across well, I had preconceptions he would be a total dick.

Yeah he seemed to genuinely care about Vards and believed in him early doors. To be fair the bloke struck absolute gold lol

Objectively it's pretty good. Absolutely nowhere near being a brilliant watch for anyone who's not bothered about Vardy/Leicester but is still better than I thought it would be to be fair.

And as has been said, way too much Becky. She's got such an off vibe and that really comes across here. Don't doubt her influence but it kind of comes across as though nothing would have happened without her. Their relationship is exactly as I would expect. Morris actually came across surprisingly well.

Some strange choices. For example the racism part doesn't mention that his strike partner was a Japanese International. Nothing really of his career after that (winning the golden boot, FA Cup) didn't include Bocelli, mention he was player of the year, England etc.

Rob Tanner is bloody annoying too. He does the classic thing of talking about us as though we were always languishing at the bottom of the football league. Then refers to Kane as Tottenham's captain.

All in all in though, it was well done especially for a single documentary on a player's career, as opposed to a series.

Probably could have done with being a series.
he matured as a player a lot after 15/16 and this doc just didn’t have time to go there and do him justice in that regard

almost like they ran out of money and time !
