Put it this way, if we were in the Prem still and West Ham who wouldn't be far from us in the league put a bid in...we'd expect £35m minimum. It's the fact we have limited bargaining power as to why he's going for cheaper.

Would we really expect Mads be sold for a value only 5 goalkeepers have cost more than?

Players valuations are only increasing mate, part of a breaking point for football that will come. Mbeumo for £70m plus, this Ekitike chap who's average is going for in excess of £80m. If we were still in the prem against someone who quite possibly would be in a relegation dog fight with us, I would expect £35m. Not unreasonable considering his potential.

I get that and values are daft as it stands, but I just don't see him at that level which isn't any issue with him.

Petrovic went for £25m, Kelleher went for 12.5m rising to 18m, shows the values of goalkeepers.

Hermansen let a goal a game in during the championship season and two goals a game in the prem (with one clean sheet). He has potential but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get higher than a mid table prem keeper. Enzo not coming in for him when he's available shows for me.

Just popped this in the pre-season thread, but Mads isn't one of the four goalkeepers being worked during the split shooting drills. Wonder if this West Ham move is progressing?

Someone please sort the title of this thread out.

And maybe some of the others esp. re: Mads, Bilal and Wilf.

This guy is reliable as a guy that's lost in the outback of Australia busy in the process of  booking a table at a curry house in leicester for the same day ..

tbf seems logical given Newcastle want a new keeper too after missing out on Trafford

and Hermansen is the same type of keeper to JT as well

Sea full of salt on the second bit.

Though the West Ham bit would make sense with Begovic coming in.

Mads and his missus seem to spend a lot of time mooching around London art galleries and hip coffee shops according to his Insta. Reckon he’ll be pretty gutted if he has to swap that for the Bigg Market and getting stopped in the street by Raoul Moat lookalikes 50 times a day.

I imagine the 50 minute flight will make it fine for him lol…
