There's really no point working out stats of keepers as if that defines their value and somehow DoFs are sitting there poring over the intricate details. Just like with Maddison, if there's only one bidder we'll take what we're offered. Getting 20ish million for a relegated non-English keeper? Snap their hand off and move on.

West Ham are monitoring Sheffield United’s Michael Cooper, who I’d say is a better keeper than Hermansen, so he may end up staying with us.

I mean he is okay. In my opinion he is not better than mads at all. Looks to be a bit cheaper than 20 mill though

Ramsdale potentially leaving for Newcastle with give us our benchmark with regards to what type of fee we will receive for Mads in my opinion.

Looks like a loan with option. He'll be on big wages too

It’s the option price which I think will be very telling as I think other clubs will use that as a negotiating tool against us if it’s below £25m.

I might be blind, but I didn't see Mads training with the other keepers in the Begovic first training session video. Is he still recovering? I have seen him in the Austria clips though.

He’s training in the Begovic YouTube video

It’s not true. Don’t worry.

West Ham hiring someone that’s worked with him before must mean they are all in on him. Hopefully it happens soon so we can move on.

We've scouted him previously and it would be in keeping with the clubs thinking to not know what they are doing.

He's very reliable too. Seems a certainty this one. I'm going for 18 mill. In this gk market which is horrific probably a good price

Less than £20m would be poor from us. Having a capable back up doesn't compensate for the fact that we're being robbed, again. Six months ago I'd have been disappointed with sub £30m.

Goalkeeper market isn't very good this summer though, looks like an oversupply issue

Just had a look and 8 prem teams have already signed keepers this summer, with Trafford the most at £31m. Petkovic went from Chelsea to bournemouth for £25m, and Kelleher from liverpool to brentford for £18m so I'd like to think we're still pushing for close to £25m for mads.

It's also typical of us to be passive and end up with just one club wanting him instead of getting the business done early, despite it being pretty obvious he would be leaving.

What?  Why is only one club showing interest in him a sign of us being passive?  We can't make other clubs bid.

We need the money, he wants to leave, we've signed another keeper, and 8 goalkeeper deals have gone through in the prem already. You can't make clubs bid, but you can also still be proactive in trying to sell players, which we are useless at.

WHU probably offering 10 mil paid over 10 years knowing them

if we could get £20mil+ and a sell on that would be decent

not like theyve not got the cash after flogging Kudus for over £50mil

We have previously been described as very hard to deal with when clubs want to buy a player with us. Apparently ,demanding huge fees for our players being the concern that was raised.

this would fit in line with us  seemingly finding it ‘difficult’ to move players on..

Better than Roma offering €2.18 mill over 5 years.
