Absolute weirdos but can’t blame them with all the ‘enjoy Wrexham’ etc comments. They’ve been the pits for the last 30 years or more and we rightfully used to say the same sort of stuff to them. They’ve had a obscene amount of luck from the play-off final right through to buying about a million players and somehow staying up, of course they’re gonna think they’re back to the ‘glory days’ (LOL) after our recent years of complete mismanagement. They’ll have a year or two of europa league and mid table finishes before returning to the mind numbing bore of PL relegation battles. Let them carry on with not caring about us…

In a crap squad, the fact Benny hasn’t been the first name in the team sheet is just bizarre. We had to win ten games. Who else do we have that is a genuine match-winner at this level? 😞

BDCR?

It’s so cringe man. Damp Squid. 🤣 He must have a bet on with someone.

Not that I’m perfect of course. I got it right and therefore wrong in my original response.

We shouldnt be shouting to much - they are only doing why we did 2 years in a row - bottling it big time - and we also can’t call out anyone when we have been as crap as we have this year - i think we should be a good bit more humble

We did actually win something though I agree about staying humble

A crumb of comfort in a terrible season, my forest mates timeline of comments.

We are going to do a leicester but it's even more impressive because all the traditional top 6 are at it....

Champions League back at the city ground where it belongs, a good 2nd place finish is likely...

Urgh gutted we lost that, now we can't beat your title winning points, so I could prove it was a fluke.

I think we will still make top 5 run ins easy and we are favourites for the FA Cup...

You have to know forest fans personally to truly understand how much this 1 half decent season in over 30 years has gone to their heads and the absolute meltdown they are currently having right now...

We are still an utter shit show, but for now, watching them capitulate even worse than we did given all the ridiculous talk, the ludicrous articles about "doing a leicester", the endless amount of attempts to diminish what we achieved all season, because obviously they absolutely categorically do not care about us.

Delightful.

Never been Champions League at the city ground. Hope that you broke the news to your Notts Forest mates.

I don't have any Notts Forest mates. I count myself as lucky but I would like one, just for tonight.

They're cooked and they know it.

The Europa League is a great competition even despite this years final being as bad a final pair of teams as I think I've ever seen make it, and they will enjoy it, but they had a real chance to climb the ladder a bit here and they've blown it.

I think they could really struggle next season if today, added to the Europa League is anything to go by. That's a hard competition where they will play you would think a minimum of 12 games. They've been carried a hell of a lot by Wood's ridiculous form. It was always quite likely to level out - just seems to be going far the other way.

Massive chance blown for Forest.

Our season has been a disgrace and today doesn't stop it being but it's nice to actually have something to genuinely enjoy. Far more fun than beating Southampton.

I don't feel comfortable with any over celebrating denting their championship league efforts whilst we are heading back to the championship. However, its still feat to **** em over.

So close to nicking it at the end too, poor from vardy really but fell to Monga so nicely, either side and we have a fantastic moment.

We've had absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing all season to enjoy. I'm as miserable as they come about the state of LCFC but random weird games like that need to be enjoyed because every possible attempt to make football unenjoyable in general is happening.

I don't take back what I've said about this team this season but they deserve some credit for that.

There’s only one bunch of ***** more insufferable than people from Notts. Scousers.

I hate the place and the people.

I get there local rivals but why are our fans getting great joy out of stopping them. That’s how sad a lot have become. I couldn’t care less if they get top 5 or not as it does not affect my club in the slightest that’s all I care about.

Are you local or a foreign fan?

Squids are already damp.

Hence the phrase.

"The correct expression is 'a damp squib' and means that something has turned out to be far less impressive than planned or expected. A squib is a small firework or explosive that, when damp, fails to go off with a bang."

Proud we was crap for large portions of that game very fortunate to draw.

Come off it. We were definitely good value for the draw. Yes we sat back more but we were the away side at a side a lot higher in the league.

They had one trick, crosses. And they are very good at them granted, as well as the corner and the Wood one that led to the goals, there were a few more crosses whipped in that I was impressed with. But other than that, a poor team with only one trick.

If our useless owner, DoF, manager and players hadn’t sacked the rest of the season off through not giving a shit, that performance and result on itself own was very much deserved and hard earned.

When you look at it, teams over the past 25 years that have had similar seasons to them are the likes of Ipswich, Bolton, Wolves, Southampton, Burnley. All finished in European spaces on merit. They should be thankful to be in that group of teams after their 30 years of misery. It’s about their size I guess.

They're flat track bullies and their record against the rest of the top six is largely honking. Wins against Liverpool and Manchester City, when the latter were miles off it, have masked some real spankings against Newcastle, Man City away and even Bournemouth. Also, their luck is unsustainable.

The first decent side they meet in Europe will most likely sort them out. They'll get all excited after a 2-0 home win against Hapoel Be'er Sheva and start sharing the Clough morphing into Nuno memes on X only to get bummed as soon as they go to Dortmund or Villarreal.

Bookmark it: by October, they’ll be on TalkSport crying about the schedule, injuries and VAR conspiracies while they’re 14th with 9 points from 11.

I was expected a lot more from them to be fair. As I said before, they seemed to be a one trick pony with putting balls into the box. I also expected them to be quite a physically tough side but I was shocked at how soft they were, falling over time and time again when a blue shirt was within a foot or so. I can’t remember if that was a trait of Nuno’s Wolves side or not.

The ref was a joke. No big decisions or anything headline making but consistently stopping the game for soft free kicks in their favour whilst constantly ignoring similar level or worse in our favour. I think ‘homer’ would be the term.

And not the fault of the linsewomen who was following protocol but I do think this letting play go on when they know it is offside should be looked at. It’s been said before it will result in injuries.
