Sounds like you are in favour Geoff? Will you start an apology thread if it's yet another disastrous appointment?

Most of us haven't got crystal balls and all we can go on is the here and now. And at this moment this decision is wrong given the availability of better options.

I’m willing to give anyone a chance. It’s wrong to write him off before he’s even been appointed. If it is him, he will ultimately be a success or a failure. Whoever comes in deserves the chance to have a go before being criticised and ridiculed

Boring as it is, at least we will have a recognisable style and structure, which we haven’t had since Enzo.

Yup so reconisable the oppostion will know exactly what to do.

If he is the man, let's get behind him. Hopefully he has learnt from previous job and will make a few tweaks to his style. Good manager at Champ level. 20 odd games unbeaten and did the treble over a Leeds side who beat us twice under Maresca. Onwards and upwards.

It’s not difficult to just appoint someone who the fans could have a shred of hope in to claw back a bit of goodwill but they couldn’t have gone further the other way without reappointing Cooper.

Most fans are not active or even read Foxestalk. I suspect the majority will see it as a good appointment and be excited at the prospect of a manager with a Championship promotion on their CV. It feels like the vast majority are still 💯 behind King Power judging by the lack of a reaction at home matches. We can shout as much as we like on here in our echo chamber because no one is listening.

Just take a gamble on Rohl, least he may have a style that will keep us up in the Prem if we got there

A German culture would be better than a boring possession based

But he hasn't shown any interest in wanting to come to Leicester 🤷🏽

He hasn't shown any interest in going anywhere specific, just that he clearly wants out of Sheffield Wednesday.

It absolutely blows my mind the number of people that managed to watch us all year under Enzo and not actually understand what his football was.

I've said a thousand times (and I'll die on this hill) that the problem is less 'Enzoball' and the fact that everybody wanted to park the bus against us.

All of that "messing around at the back" is bait, it's trying to draw the opposition out and on to you so that you can beat the press and attack quickly behind them.

I think people understand it. It’s just not very effective or entertaining. No matter all this talk of systems, the best group of players will win the division or get promoted more often than not. We went up because of that, not the style.

Some teams will always park the bus against the best sides. Playing it around the back 4 for ages is not the only way to break teams down. In fact, it plays into the opposition hands because they can set up deep in a good shape and you aren’t moving them around. It severely limits the amount of chances you are going to create, especially if you fall behind and there’s no reason for them to press you.

Breaking teams down is easier when the opposition is knackered chasing a team with loads of movement - and if that fails there’s always actually having a shot and testing the keeper, causing chaos.

No one thing works every single time against all opposition. People’s gripe with certain managers is that they pick a slow, boring style of football and stick to it even if it is clearly not working against certain teams. Rope-a-dope tactics are clever when it’s once in a blue moon and they’re not expecting it, but they’re flawed as a go to plan.

A style of being midtable boring and a bit shit, I suppose it’s in line with the clubs leadership really.

'Whoever comes in' !? Really, this goes without saying is an incredibly important decision. It must be better than recent appointments and I'm of the opinion the employers should listen to fans and give weight to their opinions. There are several others that should be given that chance in front of Russell F Martin.

He’s a special kind of shit, just you wait. The most pathetic Southampton team ever created by Russell coming to a club near us. Will be lucky to finish in the top 10 under this clown.

Well I think quite a few will hate him after watching some of the shit he serves up

He will have us mid table next year. His Saints team was a very good championship side. Enzo’s Leicester was a very good championship team. No way we get even close to that calibre of team this time. His style and the lack of match winning quality will have us drawing a lot of games. Mid table also rans.

Another poor decision by the twat Top and his side kick.

Such a shit appointment, sums the football club up to be honest. They actually deserve to go down to League 2 for all the incompetence and continued persistence with the same failed formula

Fans chanting ‘Russell Martin, what a willy puller, what a willy puller’ at Bournemouth - very clearly not wanted. I hope the board are listening.

But fans don't matter on here lol
