I'm just saying that the club seems to getting their act together band appointing a manager..we seem to always be dithering and leave it so late and then there's no one decent available. I'm not saying will still is any good either

Will be the second season in a row i wont be going to a game if they appoint him. Im not financing a club who only cares about the short term with no thought whatsoever of the long term. Appointing a manager that was doing even worse then us on the basis he had a top 2 Championship squad finishing 4th is incredible

Yep. At least it shows they are going back to some sort of strategy and footballing principles again.

 

However, it makes the last two appointments even more bizarre. So it shows their approach is based on luck over judgment.

 

Lets hope luck is with us this time again.

Aside from the dreadful football and aside from the hari kari defending if its Martin, we will likely have to endure people on here referring to him as 'Brusell', a la 'Brodgers' or 'Brenda' and I think that might just tip me over the edge.

Another poor decision by the twat Top and his side kick. 

We have stephy and fatawu, and genuinely think they would make any team a good championship team in their own. 
 

Get a half decent striker, keep Nelson and souttar and you already have the makings of a very good team at this level.

 

I genuinely think Enzo under performed with our squad… we should have broken the points record at a canter. it won’t be easy but I don’t buy into the fact this team won’t be good enough because on paper it certainly still should go back up… a few good signings and bad eggs leaving and we battle at the top.

Just playing devil's advocate here, perhaps, when Enzo left, there wasn't a manager available who plays Top's cherished keep ball?

Will preface this with, I have huge concerns over Martin, and he isn't the right choice.

 

However, the amount of shit on here is ridiculous. 

"Southampton had a better side than us last season". Being the main one.

 

If Enzo-ball frustrated people, then Martin will drive people insane but he's going to be the manager and we can either go into it moaning our tit's off, or actually give the guy a chance.

 

I do i think he will surprise? No. But there are plenty of coaches who evolve over time and I pray he will be doing this now.

I understand the reservations people would have about Martin, but I find the level of vitriol here a bit baffling… anyone would think we’re appointing Peter Taylor or Dennis Wise… Would love to know what the bloke has done to some of you lot lol
