Just to play devils advocate…

We need someone to get us back in the prem again and he did get Southampton back in to the prem. Hopefully learnt some lessons from his stint at Southampton and could be the right man to get us back to the prem.

Pure luck and finishing 4th with a much better squad. I call it today he will not even get us in the top 10

Here’s hoping Lucy Pinder does a signing session in Ann Summers, Highcross.

If not, then Russell won’t be getting my backing.

How can a full season come down to pure luck? Also, a much better squad than who?

Well full season he finished 4th got lucky in the lottery that is the playoffs like Sunderland, it takes 1 moment. Leeds deserved to go up. Southampton had a much better squad than us now.

It's real, I've had two-way contact with them via this before.

He's not my first choice...Danny Rohl is...but if RM comes here I'll back him because anything is better than our current situation

It really isn’t though, this guys record is worse than Rudd, let than sink in! We are thinking of employing a bloke who is worse it makes zero sense.

Give it a rest you negative sod.

I’m very much looking forward to having 66% possession, while making 641 accurate passes in a 1-0 home loss to Oxford United

Reception for Martin will be similar when Puel was named... where was his previous club? Another underwhelming appointment where the fans will turn on very quickly if it dont work out. I dont think he is any better than Ruud, which dont say much.

Okay, winning playoffs is pure luck no game plan was involved of course 👍🏼

I like listening to Martin. And he's a professional. Unlike the Dutchman who just trades on his name.

But, what in earth is on Martin's CV that suggests he's a decent appointment? OK at Mk? Average at Swansea? About par with Southampton?

But as always, Rudkin is shortlists his list  to managers he's heard of. It's no more technical than that.

We can complain all we want, but you can see why he ticks KP's boxes.

Unemployed/cheap to appoint

Managed in England (100% for KP)

Got Southampton promoted

Plays the football they like.

He really is their ideal appointment, that's why it's him.

King power are such a bunch of *****, I hate them for ruining my club.

'Whoever comes in' !? Really, this goes without saying is an incredibly important decision. It must be better than recent appointments and I'm of the opinion the employers should listen to fans and give weight to their opinions. There are several others that should be given that chance in front of Russell F Martin.

It’s a huge decision - and whoever gets it will have my backing.

One of the few managers/clubs we outperform at our level and yet we strive to steal from them.

It beggars belief and I'll be cancelling the season ticket if we make the same mistake yet again.
