Sky Sports pushing their interview with Nuno claiming major problems at the club ahead of the new season in terms of the balance of their squad. Listening to him speak I was a bit gutted to see he wasn't as panicked as they made out, I also wouldn't suggest the issues are that major in terms of what others have faced going into the start of the season.

Nuno has always been a cool customer in front of the media and very rarely gives anything away in interviews. Even when there is unhappiness behind closed doors.

With the signing this morning / last night Liverpool passed the £320m mark, they still want Guehi & Isak and providing they get them will reach £500m in a single window, yes EPL/EFL/FA you are correct it is a level playing field

They have also sold £184m worth of players and their revenues per financial year are heading towards £700m. While also made a profit of about £40m last summer on players.

Kasabian GOAT is the new Sky Sports music for this season for the PL.

Shame Vardy isn't around with us in that league as that's clearly who the song was about...

So do you reckon there are genuine issues? Or is he potentially overplaying elements to ease the expectations?

They've scored one goal and won zero in seven pre season games. Now that doesn't guarantee they're in for a poor season but it certainly points to them have serious issues imo.

They'll probably just spend their way out of trouble like they usually do

Wishing Grealish well at Everton.

Deffo needed a move, i think if he stayed at Citeh he wouldnt have got into world cup squad. He's now gave himself a huge chance. The problem now is if he flops at Everton where does he go on from there. Dele Ali affect must be on his mind.

Didn't realise Man City's form was so good at the end of last season.

I think they'll win the title. Last time I looked they were 3/1 as well. Can't see Pep letting up after not winning it last season.

As a Serie A watcher, Rejinders is a superb signing. Proper box to box midfielder

Likelihood is Pep is out of the door this season or the next. As I've heard some of the better journalists say, they have reason to be fired up now and the squad has been revitalised.

He still won't get in it.

I look at the Isak thing like this for Newcastle, if they don't want to be selling feeder club to the top six and want to showcase what a massive club they are and how ambitious the club is, they must stand there ground and keep Isak at the club no matter what. But the pressure on Liverpool and say if your that desperate for Isak then pay the world record transfer fee.. least Newcastle can say you can go when Liverpool pay the price they value you at.

If the transfer doesn't happen, Isak will wear Newcastle top again after the period of sulk he will certainly realise he needs game time and will request a return to the first team. No club should feel pressured to sell their top players.

Leicester did the same with Mahrez, he wanted out one January club said "fine" but Man City need to meet our demands. They didn't but after period of sulk he came back. Sold him a few months later when they met the demands.

Forest spending mad money this transfer window,

Douglas Luiz has agreed terms with them now

If Forest are really buying all the players they’re linked to today then possible that MGW leaves this month

Nuno wants 6 more players !

Seems a bit harsh on the squad that did so well last season ?

How can forest spend so much money all the time yet have won nothing at all and qualify for Europe by a thread but won’t cover what they spend. We can’t even loan anyone because we are being threatened again for the 15th time in 2 years

Forest's transfer business looks a bit hype over logic. They've hugely overpaid for Hutchinson, McAtee could be an expensive flop and not sure what to make of Ndoye. It could end up similar to our transfer windows after winning the league and cup.

Forest have sold over £100m worth of players this summer.

They were also well within FFP last season.

And they are in Europe.

They absolutely can spend money and I don’t blame them for doing so.

Nuno reckons they are far off where they wanted to be so could see them struggling at the start and then later on in the season with the amount of games they will have to play.

It's a midtable squad that hugely overachieved last season and will be stretched to breaking point by competing in a tournament they don't deserve to be in and aren't cut out for. That's a problem for Nuno for three reasons.

1) His teams tend to get found out after strong starts - Wolves went from 7th to 13th under his tenure, and that with access to whichever Portuguese he wanted.

2) Forest's fans are deluded and see last season as a baseline rather than the overachievement it was. If they drop out of Europe early and are midtable in the New Year, expect a backlash.

3) As above, but with Marinakis and the power to sack.

Seems he's not happy. It's very unlike him to speak out publicly like this. I'm guessing it's a little FU to the Fat Greek in charge for humiliating him on pitch.

They got found out big time in the last couple of months of the season. Their fans tried to make the excuse that they were tired after a long season, but all of the teams around them went deep into European and/or domestic competitions. In reality, a midtable side got found out and stopped performing above themselves.
