Not sure yet...on one hand we seem to have some talented youngsters who could make the grade along with a smattering of older pros , so it could be exciting....on the hand we have a DOF who is woefully inadequate but seems to be untouchable.

See what happens.

I had a serious think about whether to renew my season ticket and theres not been a season in the last 30 that that has been the case. For me its all about the way football is going and much less about the ups and downs of the club. Ups and downs are just part of the cycle and the downs make the ups so much more emotional. All that said Its just becoming boring...tippy tappy football where the centre halves spend half the game passing it backwards and forwards between themselves is not for me. The overwhealming dominance of money over jeopardy and glory and the gradual takeover and 'americanisation' of the game is turning it into something else and not something that excites me.

Perhaps I'm just an grumpy older guy...but I havent lost the never ending 'hope'. Club needs a rebuild from top to bottom and we have a chance of doing that in the Championship......so I renewed........in hope

Living in Dorset my son has taken to watching non league with Poole and Wimborne . He swears its better than epl football in terms of a better experience on match day. For me ive taken an interest in Anstey Nomads. A club on the up for sure.

I will be back at the k.p next season as usual because after seeing all the youth players coming through on the bench and pitch at Bournemouth we could have a very good future ahead of us and them being home grown becomes more of an interest.

Part of me feels exactly the same as this. The difference though is the game in 80s was purer from a sporting perspective. Nottingham Forest getting promoted and winning the European Cup twice being the prime example. It couldn’t happen today. We got the closest to it in an absolute freak season. No one else will IMO. Especially with petro state backed clubs entering the game.

You're right, it couldn't happen today as the European Cup competition died in 1992. It's virtually impossible for that to happen in the Champions League.

Not sure what was purer in the 80's. I just remember it being grim.

We still be following the City like I've done since 1989, we have had shit time before.

Well said. We had a great time in 1996-2001 and even better in 2015-2021. This club has been run badly in the last 3-4 years but look at other clubs of a similar size that have been shambolic: Cov, Derby, Sheff Wed, Birmingham etc.

I hate everything about the club at the moment.

The owner, his dreadful set of Directors, the manager (and probably the new manager 😹) and not forgetting at least half the squad of so called professional footballers. Despite all this I’ve still renewed my season ticket, it was never in doubt. Football and Leicester City mean everything to me. The build up in the week, meeting up with friends for pre-match drinks, watching my team home and away and the joy or despair post match.

This has been the worst season I can remember from the tired, stale and frankly incompetent ownership to the tired stale and frankly incompetent first team and manager. The anger and loathing against Top “my hands are tied” and the ruinous state he has taken our club to remains strong, but yeah I’ll be back next season. I pray we’ll have team and manager we can get behind 🤞

I’m sticking with it. Trying to teach my lad not to quit when the going gets tough, as he’s oblivious to the politics and shit show behind the scenes.

I’ve tried going to Nomads and other lower tier teams but it’s not the same. I couldn’t care less about who wins when I’m there. I only feel invested with Leicester.

With that said, I still enjoy Leicester Riders and I’ll continue going to them every few weeks.

Like you, I’m only really interested in Leicester, maybe the World Cup and Euros cos of the occasion.

I just think there’s more to life than football. I’ve spent plenty of time and money on it, seen us in League One and the Champions League.

It’s made me frustrated, disillusioned, bored and angry more often than not over the last few years and it’s only gonna get worse. I can never completely get rid of it, and still enjoy talking about it to distract me from uni work.

But I won’t be tuning in until there’s something worth tuning in for. Too much wasted time getting annoyed about people who don’t take their jobs or the sport seriously.

Will go to a few more away this season,  I moved to stonygate so even closer to stadium now.. so no excuses .. to miss too many at home either working or attending as a fan at stadium ..

Son wants to go Wrexham home as the biggest priority

Very similarly we renewed also. However, if they hire Russell Martin it tends to suggest that haven't learned in the slightest and I really don't think I could stomach another tippy tappy boring season with all the silly diatribe that goes with it. Is it possible to cancel a season ticket before a season starts and have it resold or are you stuck with it?

Even though I accepted relegation in December, when Wolves beat us, the season on and off the pitch has still been hugely disappointing. I'm not renewing but will go to the odd game and watch on tv.

At least this season will be cheaper.. and I do love the championship

Some away days will be over £30 and we lose the EPL away ticket cap but I get your point about home games.

Trying to get to one home game a month or so without it feeling like an obligation. If I can't get in the section though I won't bother as those around my old ST seat are part of the reason I'm not bothering. Otherwise I can focus on going to local teams for a bit of a break and continuing to be a bottom 25% Pokémon TCG player.

I hope you’ve got a lot of priority points. That’s going to go in the first few windows

Will look for the scores at 5pm on a Saturday to see how we did. But in terms of being properly invested in City, that’s gone now

Yeah ive seen worse tbh. However the apathy i feel is due the continuous poor decision after poor decision without accountability and seeing whats coming down the road when the board are myopic is frustrating.

Im not convinced Martin is a complete disaster but its the boring tedious shite we can’t afford to play in the premier league that makes it insanity that we have a buffoon man child of an owner who insists on it when the better more exciting pragmatists like Rohl are likely overlooked, perhaps due to budgetary reasons caused by imbeciles on the board.

I renewed and for what its worth I’ll give this season a shot waiting for a clever and clear organisational structure to rise from the ashes with the overpaid shiteheaps like Wout finally given the heaveho. If not then this will likely be my last as a season ticket holder.
