On some of the pre season material I've seen what looks like Red Bull branded water bottles. Is this standard or some sort of specific sponsorship?

3 games in Austria is what king said. I knew of 2 so maybe one that hasn’t been spoken about.

Likely to play some local minnows just to get some minutes at altitude I’d imagine.

We look fit to be fair, which is the very least you expect to see at this stage!

Has nobody mentioned the dates of our stay in Austria yet?

Still no update on the club website or on Social Media.

That’s impressive given we played a friendly yesterday on 12th July

I got the year wrong, the news were from 2016...

Ha yes the last time we were at the same camp was after we won the league.

We’re going out on 16th this year.

It's still rather messed up the club can't even communicate pre-season friendlies or more details about the training camp ahead of time.

There has always been a decent following traveling abroad.

None of the 2 or 3 have been spoken about by LCFC until King mentioned 3 games yesterday.

Just adds to the total communication void which has now become standard. :(

I can only assume the game in Hungary is on the way home as it is a fair distance from the Location in Austria. The missing game could be against a small local team, given the TSV Hartberg game was mysteriously cancelled and replaced with a game against some Ukrainian Team?

Former QPR boss Marti Cifuentes is expected to be named as City’s next manager and while not present at Seagrave on Saturday for the 2-1 victory over OH Leuven, King suggested he will have kept an eye on proceedings.

In that case, Cifuentes will have seen more than 30 players get an hour of football under their belts in sweltering heat, with City fielding three separate 11s across 180 minutes of game-time.

City will hope to have the new man in place before they head to Austria on Wednesday for their summer camp.

While they’re away, they will play three more matches, starting against Zalaegerszeg, who are just over the Hungarian border. City will then play two matches on the same day the following week.

Discussing the benefits of the camp, King said: “Those trips away are always so good, not just for what you get on the pitch, but for what you get off it as well.

“We’ve not got any new bodies through the door but for the general togetherness, team bonding, getting to know each other, these trips are important.

“Doing your work in a separate location is fresh for the lads. We’ve got three games over there to use those training sessions to build into the games.

“All of the successful teams I was fortunate enough to play in had that (a strong team bond). You run through brick walls for each other.

“We had a really disappointing year last year, and it’s about rebuilding bridges with each other. We’ve been demanding of each other these last two weeks.”

Andy King speaks so well for a relatively new coach. Hope he’s backed and supported as a key part of the new managers set up utilising his experiences under Pearson and the squad that was built back then.

Precisely why they won't announce it. I'm not convinced it's accidental.

As @TrentFox asked for more positivity yesterday....

That is a decent Pre-Season now, and a lengthy training camp, and commiting to broadcast all 3 is good too.

On the flip side i'm sure some on here would have loved to have more than a weeks notice to potentially get over to Austria.
