I suspect that many of those 40-50 stabbings were done by non-white people on white people with no victim card being played. This one is highlighted in the public eye due to the current national debate.

The police have learnt to release the details very rapidly in these cases to avoid the online speculation frenzy.

For sure other stabbings by non white people on white people will have occured as will be the case the other way round and I understand why the media have highlighred this case and that is fair comment.  That does not explain why the initial post was made to highlight the MSM not reporting on it,  when they most clearly did.  I maintain my explanation for that.

No problem with this point being made. Not got a problem with the ethnicity and background of the attacker being commented on.

My issue is the nonsense bit about it not being reported and I wonder why etc. Sick of faragist victims.

It was not on ITV news or BBC last night so get your facts right.

It happened yesterday the main news was about the hurricane in Jamica on ITV and BBC last night they didn't even mention it on ITV news at 10.

Maybe you should hold your horses instead of falling back into victim mentality next time. The world really isn't out to get you.

It was on the BBC News at Ten last night, which is a fact you can verify yourself on the iPlayer

I didn't say it was.

Well, look, not looking to argue. I've said what I've said on this. No problem discussing the guy's background, and having an honest discussion about it, but just don't have time for the sort of woe is me victim mentality I see everywhere from reform fans. If you want to go into the detail of the case I'm all ears but otherwise I made my point so I'll leave you be now.

I wouldn't call myself a fan particularly. I voted for them. They're better than what came before.

I hope that you weren't voting for a set of manifesto pledges because I think you might be disappointed.

So far they've stuck to them more closely than I've ever seen a government stick to a manifesto.

The only way asylum seekers are presented in the media are negatively.

- Violent crime reports

- General antisocial behaviour reports

- Labelled 'fighting age men'

- Depicted as ungrateful, lazy, entitled etc.

- How it costs however many £B a year to the taxpayer

As a result I'd say my view of asylum seekers, particularly those entering via the channel on dinghies, is negative.

Are there any sources that are reporting on asylum seekers in a positive light? Anything telling of them doing anything useful, community minded etc?

Did you listen to PMQ's today? In particular the question about the budget?

It's an interesting point, and I think it is to do with the fact that most people don't have an issue with asylum seekers who come through proper channels.  They do have an issue with those arriving illegally by boat, the vast majority of whom are clearly young men looking for work.  They then have more of an issue at these young men being 1) unable to work while the government takes years to process their claims, 2) put up in hotels in large numbers, and then 3) hang around and cause trouble as young men do when bored and in groups (recognising the trouble oftem looks for them).  Unfortunately, there are plenty who are too stupid to see that the government is responsible for all of that apart from the arrival in the first place, and in fact are also largely to blame for failing to stop that as well.  So they blame the migrants instead.

I am no fan of Rachel Reeves, but seriously who gives a shit about a rental license that her agent should have told her about.  She was pretty busy after the election.  It's aimed at shithole rental properties not nice well-maintained middle-class houses.  No harm no foul.

He’s got the perfect excuse to bin her off, and try and replace her with someone that’s competent- instead he will probably back her then sack her at a later date.

He only makes the right decision when he’s under huge pressure to, so weak.

It would be a rubbish and not even vaguely credible excuse.
