No real issues here if we assume mads is off, worked with Marti at QPR so one for the dressing room aswell which is just as important.

Surprised only 1 year maybe he is on trail as a coach as well and will get a coach contract next summer.

Might be a good shout.. do we even have a GK Coach right now? Or has agreed to do that maybe?

This must be one of the easiest deals to have completed, assuming no one else was in for him, yet it's taken a shockingly long time to get over the line

Unless we were waiting for some movement on the Mads deal before pulling the trigger on this one.

The groundhog of the summer of 2022 continues.

#AsmirSmithies

I have no problem if its a year.

Experience to sort Jakub and hopefully we bring in another young keeper.

People just need a angle to moan about everything.

I'm sure the club was waiting for confidence that they would get the right fee for Mads before bringing in another goalkeeping option.

Where are people getting that it's just 1 year? Can't see anything from Fab's tweets making that clear. And you know...it's just not the Leicester way

While I'm here: @Finnegan @Ric Flair should this now be updated to a Tier 1 Source, based on Fabrizio's tweet?

Alex Crook said it was a year.

Thanks both! That's a decent deal then. Good cover, plenty of experience, and knows Cifuentes already.

You'd expect Hermansen to move on very soon then. Which is a shame, and I'm not fully convinced by Jakub yet (much as I am hoping he does brilliantly), but needs must! Would open us up to pay for a couple of players then, you'd hope.

lol I'm not normally one of those people at all, and perhaps he had multiple offers on the table, but if we've really been interested in a free agent for six weeks and we've only sealed the deal today (at best) it's not great is it? And not just a free agent but a 38yo whos probably just looking for back-up or even 3rd choice status

It's a good deal for a year and probably only rubber stamped after the club was pretty confident mads was leaving

Common sense

More than likely link to what happening with Hermansen.

What the rush, you just end up paying a extra 6 weeks wages?
