One area for him to work on will be set piece effectiveness, both offensively and defensively. Don’t think it’s been a particular strength of his teams and has definitely hurt us over the last few years. Could make a big difference in those tight games this season both ways.

If they don’t know who he is then fair enough. They won’t have heard of Maresca in that case either.

Tony who gets his football news from The Mercury and BBC Gossip shouldn’t be commenting that it’s a shit appointment.

Thats also my point. Why not google him, rather than just assume he’s crap because they don’t know who he is?

Why would you assume he’s a good appointment just because you have Googled him?

What people mean to say is, ‘I’ve Googled him/had prior knowledge of him, and his football philosophy marries with mine and so therefore I’d like him to come here’

One look at his Wikipedia tells you he’s been upwardly mobile in every move and then last season wasn’t great at QPR.

To be honest, I just wouldn’t comment on anything I haven’t got a clue about.

I will he's shit.

Seriously I think he's definitely ambition and last year appeared to stall due to their transfer policy - sounds familiar.

I'm definitely giving him a go as he can't be worse than the last 2 complete buffoons we've had.

Kingy alluded to the “new manager” in his post match interview yesterday.

Just because someone else has Googled him doesn’t automatically mean he’ll be a good appointment here

I’ve not commented on his potential appointment for that very reason- we have absolutely no clue whether he would be, or any other manager would be.

He's routinely been doing that throughout pre season.

I don’t disagree. My original comment was about the hundreds of numpties on Facebook who are writing him off, because they’ve heard of Wilder and not Cifuentes.

Seems to be some of the same idiots who thought Cooper was a solid appointment.

Geez this is like the Adrien Silva transfer, seemingly taking for ever

Give the fax machine a break mate. I've heard it's one we lease so on off weeks it's down at a marketing place for takeaways
