Bit of a random bit of info I can throw into the mix. I am currently doing some work for one of the staff members involved with the first team and met with him this morning. I asked him the direct question about when will the new manager be unveiled and he said they are all in the dark as to exactly when (wasn’t expecting him to disclose a top level secret 😂) but then went on to say the club have been open with staff members that the new manager will be joining for Austria and they weren't overly concerned about the period running up to Austria as that was mainly fitness and conditioning training. He is leaving for Austria Wednesday morning so expect an announcement Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning by the looks of it.

So you're telling me it's not today?!!! MELTDOWN!!!

Imagine if he does turn us down. Willing to pay part of the compensation and taking a pay cut. I genuinely dread to think who we’ll end up if he doesn’t come here.

If this falls short somehow I think we are going to panic. I can only hope they panic and give Hassenhuttl whatever he would want, I dread to think what Dyche or Wilder would do with the crop of youth talent we have coming through, probably 1 of them would be managed well and the rest end up leaving.

Just stay calm everyone, give the club time to work their magic, they have it in them, they can get this one to fall short of the line too.

I'm not arsed about an announcement. Give me five pictures of Hamza Choudhury, being all brooding.

You reckon we will find a way to sign a manager 12 seconds to late so he cannot manage until the January window?

Thanks for this.  However, if the club are not concerned about getting

anyone in early as it's mainly fitness work etc, then they are even more incompetent than I already thought.  Surely number one priority is seeing how fit/unfit our squad is.  We have been told we need to sell before we can buy so the manager should have been announce days after sacking RVN not weeks!

Had a few days off coming on here.

What the hell are we waiting for now?!😂

Guessing it’s all about Xavi Calm and hiring an actual GK coach

See I don't get this? Why do we need to wait for this? - Only 2 reasons I can think of.

1. IF we don't get Calm then Marti doesn't want in

2. The club are so tight/cash strapped that they don't want to pay for 2 sets of photographers etc and want to just do it all in one go...

Do you think they even know we don't have one? My bet is they forgot they sacked Ruud

It’s all good, he’s already started, the club just don’t want to announce it until he’s passed his 3 month probation period.

He'll be gone by then if he's anything like the preview two

Did you ask who the new manager is?

Confirmation of that might settle a few here down a bit.

That would make complete sense. With regards to the current playing squad I think fans are getting a bit worked up for no reason. The first 2 pre-season games are all about minutes in the legs, hence why we see so many academy players involved. The final 3 pre season games are the ones that you start getting an idea of who the starting 11 will be, I would imagine the academy lads will start reducing heavily in terms of minutes.

The marathon game against OHL was clearly for the new manager to see all players including academy lads, otherwise the U21’s would have just played a separate game.

The problem side of it is recruitment, without a new manager seeing these lads directly he’s not going to be able to identify where he feels we need strengthening, other than the obvious areas such as striker or back up keeper.

makes sense not to announce him yet , save two days pay

Knowing us that’ll be our argument in our PSR court hearing!

“But we tried to show we are trying, we appointed the gaffer 2 days later than we wanted to”.
