Not many people know this, but the K in KBet actually stands for K%^t. They're quite open about this.

It doesn't mean 'Kniggit' then, and they don't need a shrubbery?

The next FAB session is expected to be September, however we would like to see one taking place sooner than this.

The Trust will take a strong position on this issue should the club elect to have another gambling front of shirt sponsor.

Seems a while between the meetings! Thanks, appreciate it.

Haven’t a clue who they are or what they do. Haven’t a clue about the previous few sponsors either, so it’s having no affect on me personally or people around me.

The UK based betting companies however  are a lot more active in the Uk, like I know people signing up and then being bombared by free bets to get them “used” to betting and getting them hooked on something that will lead to financial harm.

You could argue also that Walkers Crisps back in the day have impacted massively with regards to long term pollution with the billions of plastic wrappers they continue to pollute the planet with.

I’m pretty sure the average fan won’t have heard of them, just like they hadn’t heard of the others and it just passes them by.

Not sure you can compare crisp packets being thrown away to a gambling company with dodgy links, a dodgy website and no obvious licence to operate in the country of the club they sponsor, especially as the club has already been warned about sponsors of a previous nature and recently told 80% of its fans disagreed with having a gambling sponsor on its shirts. Not to mention the embarrassment of players having to play in unsponsored shirts due to their content.

Be intrigued to know what's going on inside the club since this leaked.

A lot of the stuff on BC Game came out in the mainstream towards the end of the season amongst a sea of shit, it was easy to hide.

This time round they're contending with fans like myself who have been looking into this for almost a year, fans who want absolutely none of this, comments all over X, prominent investigative journalists looking into it before it's been officially announced.

To me it looks like it was rumbled just as they were getting primed to make this whole sham look more legit, for example a working website and social profiles.

I wonder if there's a very small chance they might be having a complete rethink. The kit leak photos were clearly from the kit room, and people in the club shop have seen it, so it really leaves the question why have they still not launched something that was known about throughout the club at all levels since the weekend?

I doubt it. We’ve had FBS and BC Game before this remember.

It didn’t take much digging to see that FPS didn’t generate even a fraction of what they paid us, the club did nothing.

Probably waiting for the intern to create LinkedIn profiles with Ai generated pics to make it seem more legit.

I'd love to believe that senior management care, but they don't.

They wouldn't have even considered it if they had any semblance of a conscience.

If we have to go with a betting company for sponsorship, then for the love of Vards at least use a legit one, or one recognised! Bet365, Bet AGM etc...or get another company a non betting one.(Although I accept that they pay more).

This cloak and dagger stuff is all for PS blinking R! Utterly useless rule that encourages things like this.

Sack of......

Though saying all that, who has actually been swayed to use/buy by a sponsor on front of a football shirt? I haven't...ever

I can’t think that any reputable betting company is going  to funnel funds from our owner into our club.

I hope that this whole thing doesn’t blow up in our faces and not all the other clubs doing the same thing - the PL clubs would find alternative routes to do the same thing more easily than us.

The shop is still full of last seasons guff shirts that they can't sell even at a massively reduced price 🤣

The kit hasn't even been confirmed yet and you're already sniping at what the trust might do or not do.

Are you going to do anything?

Strange take.

I asked out of interest what a “strong position” and what that entailed. I can’t see any wrong in asking that but sorry it rattled you, wasn’t the intention.

As for your continued annoyance at me “not doing anything” if you want a reaction, I’ll answer it for you.

I had 10 decent, hard, challenging and fun years working on the developing the supporter experience within the professional game. As you know. Dedicated my life to it, wrecked my life in many ways because of it but  made a difference to the English, Scottish and many European fan experiences in what I was tasked with / developed ,which is all I wanted to do. It was an honour really.

I don’t know everyone’s background or involvement in the professional game but I’ll try to do more next time if that helps.

😘

Everyone can see what you're doing come on.

And as usual you just immediately say "I worked in the game for 10 years" (not even that long comparatively, even Foxes Pride have been going longer than that now!).

Ironically if you'd stuck it out with the reform group you'd probably have had a decent seat at the table by now and could be leveraging that experience. Shame really.

The question was valid and genuine, you’re sensitive to it as you’re close to those involved maybe.

Sorry the CV details are annoying for you but the 10 years is valid. Apart from literally dedicating 7 days a week for that time to the game I’m not sure what else I can do. It was a choice of course but the drive to improve the supporter experience at every club / league is relevant to your challenges about what I’ve done. I get repeated questions on that from you so there is naturally a consistency to the answers. I’ve probably done more than most would care to do, and the commitment to a toxic industry was probably foolish but it’s football, it’s a drug innit!

I came out of reform because of my mental health challenges at that time as you know and as Harry knows. The involvement with the trust in that period was probably not the right timing either as my MH wasn’t great. It hasn’t been for years but I’m feeling better now though so that gives me hope.

I don’t need a seat at any table, I’ve made the tables and served my time. I know my questions and challenges aren’t always fun to read but they are from experiences that I feel could help, give context or provoke thought. I’ve actually asked admins on here to delete my account a few times but I’m told my opinions are valid and welcomed so I’ll just pop on as and when to see what’s happening.

Weirdly looking forward to next season again with my lads.

We won’t always agree of course, that’s the beauty of it all. Hope the Bournemouth sun is shining.

Up the city 🦊

Anthony Herlihy with the easiest job in world football surely. Comms director for a club that never says anything.

You say that, but there is a long list of candidates at our club.

They’re going to publish an article on it. So it’ll be interesting to see if they do respond to it.

It’ll be the 5th article without response sadly.

For those of us who have arrived at this thread without prior context, what is going on? I mean, I assume it’s to do with a dodgy new shirt sponsor but please help me out.
