Josimar have already hinted that theres a big 'part 2' coming on this group of 'companies' later this year.

I was also interviewed by an investigative journalist from the BBC last season who is trying to gather enough to do a panorama.

It's big...

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought by the start of this coming season that gambling companies weren't allowed to be a front of shirt sponsor or was that just a Premier League thing? Hopefully it was every division in England.

That's from the 26/27 season & only the PL, I think.

Just Premier League unfortunately.

But loopholes found already, with Palace and Wolves sticking with their sponsors. I assume they're claiming it falls under something else.

*just seen above, was definitely intended to be this season originally when it was announced in 2023

Absolutely disgusting this is. Get King Power out now. Would much rather free fall down the divisions than be owned by King Power any longer and have anything gambling related connected to the club. It's utter disgrace that we have anything gambling related to our club to begin with.

If the Premier League or The FA really cared it would be from this season and across all divisions but they'd much rather have their pockets filled with money from gambling companies. Cause if they really wanted too I'm sure they could of got things sorted pretty swiftly.

They're already finding loopholes - these companies are launching "live score" apps with their branding so they can still be on front of shirts. Same way that countries with alcohol advertising bans just end up having companies advertise their alcohol free products with the same branding. They always find a way and it stinks.

I thought this sort of stuff was being outlawed. Gambling firms, particularly dodgy sounding ones should NOT be on football kits.

So, I’ve actually contacted Phillipe Auclair from the guardian about this company.

He’s going to look in to them.

but it turns out they created loads of random accounts on the same day (June 5th)

including a LinkedIn account that looks very interesting

Hahaaha they've got the image rights for Trent, Foden, Son and then Rob Holding.

Probably don't have image rights for anyone. There won't be repercussions for a company that barely exists.

But again, why is anyone surprised. All of football stinks. The example is set from the top down.

It’s exactly this that gives me little confidence that, even if people expose what’s really going on with these betting companies, it’s not going to make the slightest bit of difference.

I questioned a hell of a lot about the way we went up. You can read back in my posts how critical I am of the ownership even leading up to the success that followed. It was careless and we could have had dire consequences.

I don't equate the success that happened down to an amazing well run club from the top. Far from it.

What the **** is your argument that we'll just moan about the next thing if not this? As if failing PSR year after year and running the club into the ground aren't things we should be up in arms about.

With a name like gamble you should be a fan or maybe that’s the issue?

No you missed the point, the knock of effect of not taking the most money they can get would results in potentially no transfers or further PSR issues, so shutting one door to stop outcry opens the next.

I’d rather see less chance of those two things happening, over worrying about a shirt sponsor

“gambling firms are currently propping up the Premier League sponsorship market, with The Sponsor’s fair market value today significantly inflated by fees from betting brands”

Grubby is the word I would use to describe my football club nowadays

No need to use anything stronger. It's just... eww.    :nono:

It's alright saying "if you can't beat them, join them" but we don't even benefit from it. We'll continue to break PSR rules despite signing shit players if any players at all. Nobody at the club seems to have an ounce of business acumen

Not benefiting from it is subjective, we had the joint 9th highest shirt sponsorship deal in the Prem last year. Not capitalising on it, is more fitting because how poorly the club is ran.

Yeah that's what I meant by it. It doesn't translate to the footballing side of things
