Agreed not sure how we can blame the manager though he has tried to get it to click but we are just no where near looking threatening going forward, players seem to just go through the motions but it's no where near enough to be up there, need some special sauce.

A lot of other teams are drawing games though so we may get better with more games, just not seeing enough atm though.

Teams like Preston with very limited players are scoring goals. This league really is dross and Marti needs to take the handbrake off. Bringing skipp on to defend a 1-0 lead at home to Wrexham is sheer negligence. But even before the last half hour shit show, we didn't create anything and same against WBA. I can't work it out. We have better players than most of this league but can't create any chances. Some onus on the players but alot is on Marti. I couldn't give a fck about possession. 70% possession with 1 shot and a 1-1 draw is garbage. Give me 40% possession, several shots on target and score a few goals and day of the week.

One thing that does hamper us though is that 95% of teams in this league will park the bus and that's something we've often struggled to deal with.

And even when there is space and the bus isn’t in place Jordan Ayew will slow everything down and wait for the bus the be back in its spot.

Doesn't play in the way he made out we would pre-season in any way, shape or form. No high press, no always pushing for more goals, no attacking aggression. Why say one thing and do absolutely the opposite?

We was all of that in the first half

It's hard to reconcile the fact that after 2 relegations, and dozens and dozens of awful performances, our final back 4 tonight still contained Faes, Lurch & Kristianson.

True most teams see us as a massive scalp and when you don't offer no threat going forward it becomes a problem

The  absolute negligence of not signing a decent striker after JV left this summer is really starting to show. So many shots, so few on target - says we are not getting into areas where we're likely to score, and we're just hitting and hoping. Ayew can't do the job, Daka is a busted flush and Caranza looks to be a baffling signing.

He’ll cost us any whiff of promotion with his egregious negativity.

Trying to sit back and see out a lead with 25 minutes to go gives the impetus to the opposition. If you take off forward players and you concede, lo and behold you’re chasing the game with worse players.

The fact that managers still keep doing this and standing by it throughout the footballing world genuinely shocks me.

How are we going to do a high press when the only lad in the team with legs is Abdul

Trouble is we have players in the squad who can. Even Daka can press. Page, James (higher up), Monga, (Alves had we not loaned him out).

Daka is liquid dogshit, Page and Monga look promising but they’re still 11. And James does look decent, but that’s about it. Our squad is largely made up of people who move at a snails pace. The reason marti has reverted somewhat from how he played at qpr is largely because we don’t have many runners

He could play the below and we would have far more energy and freshness within the team. The manager is ****ing it.

Jakub

Ricardo

Okoli

Nelson

Thomas

Winks

JJ

Fatawu

Page

Monga

Daka

True think that comes from the senior players and what worked under Enzo they don't want to play differently, regardless of the manager

If that's the case his a poor manager, can you imagine players not doing as instructed under Nigel or Martin.

Marti style is boring.

Im not Marti out but you got to wonder who actually benefits from the system we are playing with the inverted full back.

Pereira - Benefits maybe due to not having to run as much but he was at one point one of the best right backs in the country. Surely he prefers the traditional right back position

Hamza - Not a right back/not a creative midfielder. Does not fit the role

Vesty - Benefits the most as his greatest asset is passing. Very worrying that the system benefits one of our worst players the most. To add to this, likely a reason why Okoli/Nelson aren’t getting game time which further makes the system baffling

Faes - See Vesty

Thomas - doesn’t know whether to attack or defend. Not really a LCB. Barely is even a LB

Wingers - Main strength of the team but get completely isolated with no full back to help out

Strikers - overcrowding in the middle means harder to find space. Also suffer from slow build up play and lack of chance creation

This is not on Marti but I can't believe this has passed us by with barely a murmur. We should be raging.   We knew for months that we had a glaring void up front that needed filling urgently and despite £60m coming in we have managed to only bring in the one striker that is even worse than what we had.  Absolute dereliction of duty.
