Sulemana 17mil

Onuachu 5.7mil

Amo-Ameyaw (who?!?!) 7mil

And are about to sell Bednarek for about 9mil.

Off the back of getting TWELVE POINTS in the Premier League.

Our squad isn't good but please don't tell me that this lack of movement is an inevitability.

You have quotes from Iversen and Praet to the tune that we play hardball, often unnecessarily.

Stop giving this club a single bit of benefit of the doubt. How many times do they have to get it wrong? Everyone's default position at this point should be assuming they've fvcked up until they've proven they haven't. Certainly is here.

add Ramsdale to the list too, a keeper that has been relegated 3 times and they still manage to get rid of him.

It’s actually weird. We went down in 22/23 and Top came across as the hands on, I’ll sort it chairman - spending above our means and acquiring guys like Mads, Fatawu and Winks.

We then go up, lose Enzo (first hit), spend our highest net spend (above our means) (second hit), sack Cooper and bring in RVN (third hit when he fails) and seems to have decided if I don’t touch anything, it’s all good.

it’s like the risk taking stops due to the errors. I can’t work the kid out.

Club needs freshening up, that comes with a new manager and players, but in our case it means the ownership.

I think it would take it to well over £300m spent on players that have then been allowed to leave for free in the last 10 seasons

But we won the league and FA Cup

Yes true someone does have to want to buy the players however there are opportunities that he dosen't take e.g. Iverson had a offer last Jan and he didn't sell him then let him go for free in the summer.

I'm sure there are many other examples as well

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Teflon Jon needs canning ASAP we all know that.

It's a shame Nepo Baby is to arrogant to question the reasons behind the current problems and challenge them. Then act like a grown up and do something constructive about what he finds

No but a continuation of abstaining from going or our own ‘investing’ into the club has a greater likelihood of getting rid of KP.

But that won’t improve our current lack of transfer activity and that’s what this thread is about tbf.

Maybe there's an element of regret in binning off Cooper, who may have proven worthy and avoided relegation, as opposed to appointing RVN (who is possibly the worst appointment in the history of football) in the hopes of chasing a mid table finish.

My thinking is, in appointing someone almost as good as Cooper for the coming season, (Cervantes or whatever his name is) and keeping together a premier league squad that should have been good enough to stay up, it's hard to bet against a top 2 finish.

Let's face it, if Cooper was still here (probably still be in the Prem, but that aside) everyone on here would be talking about winning the league by a clear 20-30 points and having it wrapped up by Xmas.

Adding a brilliant young GK to the ranks in the past few days shows how serious the board are about the clubs future. I'll cheer every time Faes (hopefully captain this season) gets megged or almost makes a tackle, likewise every time Daka falls over the ball five yards out. And again for Skipp, but probably only after 75 minutes when I realise he's actually been on the pitch all game.

Splendid job this summer, splendid.

(If unsure, Google sarcasm and Irony before getting angry...)

That's not going to help people stay calm :giggle:

For me just the additions of Monga, Nelson and Alves make the squad stronger.

Other than a CF, I don't want anyone else coming in unless we move players out.

You not majorly concerned about the midfield? I just don't see the combinations required even at a lower level.

I just don't see either the athleticism from the defence minded midfielders is there to make us defensively solid and nor do I see any central midfielder who will provide high output of goals and assists that KDH previously gave us.

Yes we've lost Vardy but Ayew and Daka get us 15-20 between them but not so sure the current midfield get us the 25+ goal contributions KDH gave us. El Khannouss at a lower level might improve his output if he stays, KDH was hardly prolific in that sense prior to dropping down but it's not guaranteed.

i do and i dont, i think we might try and get someone in in midfield tbh, alone with another striker

feel like one of the U21 lads could step up from what ive seen so far but i guess we'll have to wait and see

My only worry is whether we have a player who can get goals and assists like KDH, hopefully El Khannouss stays.

El Khannouss has a poor record on goal contributions but so did KDH.

Winks and Ndidi were pretty dominant last time.

Do you think the are many midfields in the Championship better than Winks, Ndidi and El Khannouss.

With Alves, Skipp and Hamza as back up?

If they go we need to buy.

Things change fast but right now I don't see Winks having the impact this season as he did in 23/24. Ndidi has been very erratic too and whilst he his contributions in 23/24 were never championed as much as they perhaps should have been, I see the likelihood for him to toil next season. Soumare I have minimal expectation from and Skipp is a mystery.

The dynamic we had under Enzo worked and KDH thrived. I'd hope El Khannouss at this level should find it well within his grasp to get at least 10 goals and 10 assists but

at a similar level in Belgium he's never had the end product yet.

Alves will chip in but I think this team is crying out for a Hamer/Brownhill/KDH goal contributor.

Alves might be the answer, especially if ELK Leaves.

Bednarek for 9m?! Who to? Oh god, it’s us isn’t it…
