Josh Windass is a terrible player with a terrible attitude but agree about Brownhill.

It's all irrelevant anyway, but we only have Daka, so I don't think Windass would have been a  massive gamble at Championship level for no fee. Hell, I'd take his dad over Daka.

By my count we have 26 players who would need registering- take Souttar out as injured and we’re maxed out.

We therefore need to shift two to bring our first in and then one in one out

Cifuentes has already said he wants a much smaller squad, I think he'll be looking for us to have a max of 25 1st team players including the 4-5 U21 academy players likely to be used in Monga, Evans, Page, Aluko and Alves.

So I think he's expecting 5-6 out minimum and more if we are intending to make signings.

When was the last time Dumb & Dumber listened to anyone ? Marti could be screaming “I need a smaller squad” but those idiots will do what they like. I mean look at us, we’re doing nothing as usual !!

Bednarek on £70k according to Capology, although you do have to take those numbers with a pinch of salt.

The reality is Rudkin is shit at everything so why we wouldn't he bad at selling players too? Even an average DoF would do a better job.

70k before or after a relegation pay cut?

Yes dumb and dumber fvcked up giving out stupid contracts we all know that. But it's done now.

Care to tell us what / how you would get rid of any of our players. As in the ones we want rid of.

I don't see a massive change in the squad until next season when the likes of Coady, Ayew, Soumare, Daka, JJ and Ricardo, Thomas and Wink are out of contract.

90m ish million in transfers fees spent on that lot and they will all walk away for free.

They will also have their minds on new contracts elsewhere, so less than 100% commitment won't be a surprise.

I'm sick and tired of the club saying that players will only go for the correct valuation, we end up selling no one.   Either clubs & agents hate dealing with us, or the club is incompetent?  I suspect it is both!

pfft we should have got old bob in before he left us,

he'd have got them on a winners diet of Pot noodles and hill runs

we'd have walloped all before us

RIP bob

Less than 10% commitment won't be a surprise in the case of Soumaré.

In the championship, they actually have a similar record. Last season Windass scored 13 in 44. In 23-24, Daka scored 7 in 20. I don't disagree that we need a new striker and Daka isn't good enough, but signing the likes of Windass has ended up getting us where we are now. A free transfer is never free when you take in wages over 2/3 year contract and signing on fee. We already have a culture problem and attitude issues within the squad, we don't need more adding, especially when he's not actually any good.

We need to move players on that wouldn't have a future in the premier League and bring in new faces

This is the nature of the game. Why we can't seem to move the dead weight on for free and bring some hungry players who want to win and play for trophies.

We’ve already added Nelson, Alves, Hamza, Wanya, Fatawu and essentially Monga to last seasons team. Squad is massively bloated in some positions. Feels like sculpting, there’s a good team in there, we just need to carve away the bits we don’t need so we can see it.

It is done but they don’t learn from anything, we just rest on our laurels instead of actively looking to move some on, there’s many ways to do it, settlements of contracts with many would revitalise and refresh the squad enabling us to bring some of the academy kids in whose desire and ambition to improve would be an improvement instead of the same old tired players that are clearly in decline who we’re paying a premium for.

Spoke to a forest lad on holiday who told me how delighted they were with their owner and staff behind the scenes, good culture, good environment, hands on, good recruitment, good planning, everything that we’re not !!!!

They take on 30 players to make sure they stay up in the prem, take the cream of that bunch then sell the rest off who are surplus and then to add to it and now look at them.

In contrast we’re still trying to figure out if Daka is going to come good after how long ?

It can be done but it’s obviously too much effort for Dumb & Dumber so you reap what you sow !

He asked me about us and I told him we’re all pi**** off with our owner because he’s not interested anymore and wants to play polo instead of sorting out the football club.

This is the worst I’ve ever seen this club ran.

Martin Samuel writes some really good stuff in the Times.

He said these days (and he was focusing on Man Urd) selling is as important as buying to a club in the world of PSR.

English League primarily Premier League players are so hard to get rid of if they are proved average or poor as their salaries are so high due to the UK TV money.

Hence we can't get rid of Vestergaard, Faes, Soumare or even Wilf, to freshen it up or take a new direction.

The problem is we don't have the money to pay up contracts. So it's keep what we end up with (all the shit) plus the under 21's.

If we paid up contracts we would have no money to bring players in.

It really is sad what we have become. But they've ignored rules since the arrived and paid stupid wages.

Yes we won the league but this all started under Vichai. But after the title we had money rolling in. Bumper sky money champions league money 30m profit on Kante. 120m profit on Mahrez and Mcquire.

This ain't just Top and Rudkin. It's how we've been run from the very start. Stupid spending under Sven got us in trouble. Thankfully NP came in and sorted it. Then once he'd gone we went to shit financially.

They've come in all Billy big bollox without a clue and it's all gone tit's up. Even the business at home looks fvcked.

All this bollox from people careful what you wish for. We was league one once. Our owners have been very lucky. NP and the title has all made it look great.

The honest truth they ain't great owners and never have been. But they have been playing everyone since the minute they arrived. Owners from dodgy far east countries are only going to end one way.

It'll be King Power FC playing in a red strip before they go.

Rivalry aside good luck to em and anyone else for that matter because if Leicester don’t want it there’s plenty of other clubs that have put in the hard yards that do want it.

On a scale of one to heather. Phil

Seems like things have kicked up a gear. Maybe because we are now back fro Austria and maybe it just takes 1 deal to be sorted as a bit of a domino.

Wouldn't it be good for that domino effect to take VestaPooch, Sideshow Bob, Ayew, De Cordova Reid, Winks, Ndidi and a fair few others with them
