I thought Swansea already had a ~5m bid rejected on Kone?

We have no idea what has and hasn't happened, but it's possible he's told Wycombe he wants to move to us and with him being out of contract next summer they've dropped the figure.

Agreed, goals and POTY in L1.

He’s only just turned 22 and like everyone noted, has not been brought up in a Pro Academy, so very much in a stage of lots of learning and development.

No brainer for me, either we go this route of signing a Young striker with tremendous upside, or we sign a ‘proven’ PL striker who will no doubt be deadwood in 2 years think Fatawu vs Ayew Bobby Reid and Coady.

Think the Model has to go back to what got us success, signing unknown players in the Pearson Era. Look at Brighton.

You work with what brings you success but if the dynamics change you have to adapt accordingly.

This is what “Dumb and Dumber” upstairs don’t understand.

Remember when we lost our scouts Steve Walsh & Lee Congarton.

We were told don’t worry our recruitment won’t change our team is still good.

Oh Really ??

So where did all the S***e players come from then.

Poor judgement and poor planning leads to panic buying, do that season after season and eventually you’ll be left with a squad in decline.

And you wonder why King Power itself is in financial trouble, again they don’t adapt to market trend and peoples habits.

Ummm.... a fair few of the sh!te we have in our squad we're signed whilst Congerton was here. Daka, Soumare, Vestergard. Justin is the only other one signed during his time that is still here.

Congerton was sh!t.

Young, POTY and an 18 goal season.

Strange they're struggling to flog him at £3-4m. Pretty likely he's been scouted by a lot of clubs at this point as well.

Maybe a bit of a red flag? I have no opinion as I can't even be bothered to watch his YouTube clips until there's at least a solid link lol

It's probably because the lad is 22 and when he was 19, he was playing at the homeless world cup. I mean, it is a bit of a gamble considering most players these days grow up in youth academies.

Wasn't aware of that, and yeah I guess it could make clubs a bit more hesitant.

All signings are gambles though really - £3-4m with low(ish) wages would be quite a small one for a lot of Championship clubs.

Agree Rodgers and his right hand man being allowed too much rope was the start of our demise imo

Does anyone ITK, know if the fax machine at Rudkin HQ is working?  This could be the hold-up?

Im 1 minute into a 6 minute YouTube highlights reel and hes missed about 5 and not scored once, think this is happening.

That was my experience as well. Hard to watch footage of him and not get worried that he's going to be a bit of a donkey.

Would that be the one we're the first 40 seconds are him celebrating and walking around in slow motion?

Walsh went to Everton and was sacked after 15 months fans thought his recruitments was shite what works for one club doesn’t always work for another.

I really hope there isn't a huge debate going on at the club as to whether Kone is good enough. At £3m seems low risk and should be easy to move on if he doesn't make it provided we don't offer ridiculous wages
