Would appreciate it if you could only post rumours or news.  When I see you profile pic in the transfer thread I get a semi, now I'm flaccid again.

I’m the same, I see it’s @moore_94 and I expect something juicy or if I’m on a bus or in a tunnel I expect a white box to appear from a linked tweet that hasn’t loaded yet. Those few seconds, before it loads some inevitably bad news are quite honestly, the greatest most treasured moments of my life.

Don’t start that shit in here!

It’s bad enough coming across the never ending stream of piss poor attempts on Twitter.

He won’t mind. He’s a bit “silly” himself.

That’s why they call him ……..……

Sorry it's started and there's just no way of stopping it now.

Amazes me that self editing of obviously tired unfunny puns doesn't stop it.

There’s 2 scenarios I see playing out, we lose 1-0 and our strikers miss 20 chances and we pay 10m for kone.

or we comfortably win and Rudkin, sits back and decides we don’t need a striker

If a mediocre championship striker went down to league 1 and bagged 20 goals at the same age would we be wanting to sign them? Daka could probably get 20+ in league (probably not, just saying)

If they are 21 maybe yeah. I don’t think we’d have fans too upset if we’d gone for Charlie Kellman and he couldn’t break in the QPR team

Difference is stature.

No doubt Kelman will have an excellent game against us now, but....How many strikers of his stature actually have an impact at the level above? I believe he's about an inch taller than Adam Armstrong, for comparison. At that height you need the explosive pace and finishing of an Ian Wright/Michael Owen. Being an aerial threat is never really an option for you, so there's a large avenue of potential goals gone straight away.

Kone is the same height/build as Ivan Toney. I watched the Wycombe game when he came on at the weekend, and straight away you noticed his presence. Even just standing in between the central defenders, he's an imposing threat.

We put a lot of crosses in today, and we will get spaces to cross because sides will view that as the lesser of two evils compared to risking committing against our wide players and being taken out of the game. If we had an Ulloa up top today, I think he bags a couple of headed goals tbh. Kone for the price makes a lot of sense, he will get plenty of service if today is anything to go by.

This is the key part that’s missing from the pieces of Marti’s puzzle.

Present a significant arial threat in the box and defences then have to defend against the cross - stretching a defence and giving you more gaps in and around the penalty area for your clever players like Bilal who can find pockets of space.

Ayew did the other bit of receiving from back to front and laying off to start moves well enough - but he’s never going to be a significant box threat against 2/3 centrehalfs.
