Cainy47 Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Surely worth 3 million though , at that price he could be a steal !
lcfcsnow Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Wycombe dropping the price after 4 open play goals since Christmas doesn't fill me with much confidence, he's clearly not getting any interest. 2
ronnup Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Im not convinced this is the bargain we think it is 4

In the past even those that get good info get abused when it goes wrong. Â LBH why would you pass on stuff to just get abused when for hundreds of reasons it goes tit's up. Â This place (ie the users) has done itself no favours over the years with all it's ITK's Yeah! Leave SecretPro alone!Â

I read from another source that they were dropping the initial cost to 3m not dropping the cost. Just the structure they were requesting, very likely to help us with the psr concerns.  I think sky have just twisted that news

Just turned 22 with absolutely no academy upbringing which means that yes, he will be very raw, but as we saw with Vards, that also means you've probably got more room to grow that most other players at your age. Whether or not he does that is a different matter. But £3m-£5m for this type of player is a bit of steal really. If it doesn't really work it's not a huge loss but if it does, the upside is massive. 2

Vardy might not have missed his formative years but he missed a big chunk of development time as that's probably why different aspects of his game continued to get better as he got older, which compensated for the areas that naturally declined.
Tuna Posted 7 August 2025 Posted 7 August 2025 Not interested in him at all. We can and should be aiming for better. 1

My thoughts exactly, he might turn out good but in my opinion the only player we need to sign is a striker, i think the squad right now is more than good enough to compete at the top, id rather us spunk whatever money we have on that position and get exactly what we want.Â

Bet you were thrilled the day we paid £1m English pound notes for Jamie Richard Vardy from non league Fleetwood ….this guy is a decent player, quite possibly the highest rated striker playing outside the top 2 divisions of English football, at £5m this is a deal a club like us need to make, calculated risks to try and get us back on an  upward trajectory. 1
