I thought Swansea bid 4.5m?   This could be a BS tweet or whatever they are called now.

I'd be happy with Kone upfront.

The lad has a lot of potential. Hopefully playing alongside better players will help him raise his game too.

yeah i thought that too, seems incredibly odd now is £3mil

could have changed it all, where once before they want all the fee upfront

where now they still want £5mil, but will accept £3mil with add ons upto 5

Surely Leicester are not planning to go into the next season without recruiting someone after letting 3 strikers go last term. I was also thinking Wilf scored 6 in the last Championship season so also look seriously short of extra goal potential from central midfield.

And/Or Kone told Wycombe he wont go swansea knowing Leicester interest so its either sell cheaper with add ons or lose him for free

I'm still not convinced we're even in for this guy

It seems odd to me that a lot of Swansea and Wycombe sources think we're in the race but none of the obvious Leicester journalists have said anything.

We very obviously need a striker and he's a very logical target. It's a very believable rumour yet we've not had Percy or Tanner or someone chime in and even say he's a target, have we?

Possible they've both been cut off from info for writing mild and accurate unfavourable observations?

yeah Percy has deffo lost his source. Don't think Tanner ever had one lol
I think that bloke Tom Collomosse seems to be the best connected now

Then Tom Colomosse or whoever else. Either way nobody from "our side" had said anything about Kone iirc?

Swansea dropping out will mean we leave our interest until the last week of the window to try and get a cut price deal. So that's the first 4 league fixtures with Ayew starting.

I disagree, I may be wrong but I think if we sign Kone then that's Evans done here and he's not signing a new contract.

Youth usually only get given chances when there are more gaps in the squad, not less of them. With Evans not even making the bench for us in our last friendly he will probably take that as a sign that he is not going to get signifant championship gametime and he's only going to be further from the first team if we sign Kone.

This coming season is the perfect time to integrate Evans as a regular first teamer. We dont need Kone, who has a decent chance of not even coming good, and even if he comes good it would be at the cost of a far better striker talent in the form of Evans.

Therefore my preference would be that we dont make this transfer, im tired of our managers not backing young players then signing worse senior players. Last season it was Cooper not backing Alves then signing Cordova Reid, now it's Cifuentes not backing Evans and signing Kone.

The lad is still 16 and who is ahead of him for that No9 spot? An ageing Ayew and a shot Daka. Whatever happens we'll need a new striker as the alternative is to put all our eggs in the Ayew or Daka basket.

I don't think Jake Evans has any course of complaint, he's very young and he hasn't looked like he's banging on the door of the first team like Monga could claim. Whatever we do in the striker transfer market shouldn't matter to Evans, if and when he is good enough for regular first team action here he'll force his chance but he's not at that level yet.

For the last 3 seasons we’ve been saying

“Vardy can’t go on forever” we need a striker and look what happened

This is “Dumb and Dumber” at the wheel we’re not talking any kind of logic here

Its Leicester City so it wouldn’t surprise me

I believe that we’re interested

whether that translates into a viable bid remains to be seen

At 3m with add ons it sounds like a no brainer, only 21 and was League One POTY last season.

Even if he never develops here you would think you could sell him on to another team in the Championship or an ambitious League One side in a year or two. I do like his raw potential as he's never been in an academy, has a touch of the Vardy's about him progressing through the game in an unorthodox fashion.

Cause our sources are awful haha, Tanner doesn’t get told anything until he see’s it confirmed on twitterlol

He will not even be on our radar, I genuinely do not see us signing anyone for a fee. Maybe another free transfer and a loan or 2 but until we get rid of 7-10 players we wont spend any money
