I'm sorry but if this guy is sold it's sucks all the remaining fun out for supporting this club. He was the only reason I was looking forward to going on Sunday and the only player who gets you out of your seat. If him And Bill goes we have very very minimal attacking threat and will be mid table.

I can understand BEK going.  There's a release clause in his contract, probably for this exact reason:  He signed for a Premier League club with a sizeable risk of relegation and wants to be a top flight player and he wanted a get out of jail free card.  I'm pretty sure he'd have stayed if we had remained in the Prem, but we didn't, so I can see him going, unfortunately.  I am OK with this to a degree as we have some decent youngsters coming through that can play that position, so all is not lost.

Fatawu though - he is special talent.  Miles above the standard of this league and could have just about every full back on toast.  For me, he is the difference between promotion and staying in the Championship.  If we do sell him, this late in the window then that would be one of the most incredible of all the bad decisions made at the club.

Our squad is bloated and needs reducing. We’ve sold two players who were unlikely to be in the starting 11 and for whom we already have a strong replacement. How is that ‘selling our souls’?

Spot on.

Fatawu's a talent who's value will grow significantly over the next 12 months as long as he stays injury free. Selling now is a bad idea. I wouldn't even look at an offer under £50m for him.

Of course not, I'm just being dramatic to prove a point

It’s a correct point (your point I mean).

Every player has a price that they would be sold at except maybe a handful at elite clubs.

Often a price tag is put on a player that is essentially a ‘not for sale’ tag but a tag all the same.

The media love a good narrative and transfer saga to build up and ‘Leicester say Fatawu not for sale’ doesn’t have the same ring as ‘Everton and Leicester apart in their valuations of Fatawu’ does it!

Honestly, the reaction has been crazy recently. Everyone’s been asking for us to sell the majority of the squad as soon as we do, we lose our bloody minds!!

Fatawu was never going to leave this window on the basis of the fee we will demand for a player who’s been out all year with an ACL injury.

People need to chill.

We want the dross sold not our only good players.

Get rid of Abdul, BEK and Winks and what do we have left? Zero passes forward.

Our two full backs are scared to even think about looking forwards, Mavadidi wants content for his step over YouTube clips and Ayew is great at countering any counter attack.  Soumare and Skipp in midfield is obvious. Then we have the chuckle brothers at cb.

Our best player is 16 years old.

When it comes to talk about losing key players

Yes it's very much losing not so much soul perhaps that's a wrong word 😕..

But come on do you trust anyone to replace them with like for like quality ..

It's not good

It's too easy to sign bad players so when you find good ones it's imperative you keep hold ..

Hence you end up with a squad of bad eventually

Yes that’s what I meant when I said if he wants to go. I may be naive here but I’m hoping he may want to stay. He is one of the first on the team sheet here and is pulling up trees.

I don’t know how others feel but despite our current predicament the likes of Abdul and Bilal give me real hope for the future and are role models for our youngsters coming through.

he doesn't look like he is sulking, hard to tell with BEK but a year in the champ will do him good. Fatawu definitely loves being here

Well we haven't really got any strikers so why do we need to pass forward? This is clearly a next-level genius strategy by Rudkin.

Whilst i agree selling Coady is great business, i genuinely think he would have been in the starting XI as he played in our "alleged" strongest 11 in the friendly with Fiorentina.

Wlif and Mads would also have started against SWFC if they were here.

I have no doubt we have to shift players and the 3 sold thus far i haven't a problem with going.

Problem lies when te flair players go, which we all know, they will. Next 17 days is going to be a total sh*te show with little if any coming in.

Everton is currently unwilling to meet Leicester's demands for Abdul Fatawu—the two clubs are very divided on valuation, and Everton is now considering other options. (RobDorsettSky)

I’d love to know what they thought they could get him for….

We haven’t sold any of the key players you mention. People are reacting to rumours of other clubs being interested in our players as if we’ve actually sold those players and haven’t replaced them. It’s bizarre.

Years ago Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse did this sketch called ‘The Self-Righteous Brothers’ in which two middle-aged blokes would sit in a pub conjuring up entirely hypothetical scenarios involving celebrities behaving badly and then work themselves up into a rage about it, thereby getting into a complete state about something that hadn’t even happened. I’m somehow reminded of that sketch whenever a transfer window comes around.

We will sell them you know we will

That's what we do

I'm in no rage and even when we do sell its just acceptance these days I can't change the state the club is in ..

Reckon they might turn their attention to Omari Hutchinson.  He wants out.  They'll probably take a hit and let him go for 25-30mill...

Which isn't really taking a hit tbf.
