My nephew (forest season ticket holder) has been to his first european games, and he was amazed at the noise the fans made, he said Porto fans were brilliant but it was danish side Midtjylland that blew him away, he said there were only a couple of hundred but they outsung the forest fans all night, bounced around all game, flares all game....even the youngsters now realise how bad things are here.

But unfortunately most still won't work to do anything about it.

The first 10 minutes of last night reminded me of when 5 year olds play football. Lots of enthusiasm but zero co ordination. How is it possible to take 1000 fans and still sing three songs at the same time.

Also shout out to the pocket of Southampton fans to the right of the away end at the back of the Chapel stand. Some of the most bizarre non league level "banter" I've ever heard. "You're not allowed near schools" and "Champions of the library, you'll never sing that" being the pick of the bunch.

Wish our atmosphere was good as Southamptons

That's what a full end behind a goal can do. In fairness though, the atmosphere was decent there in the 1-0 defeat under Rodgers in 2023.

Never heard soton fans like that before, since they’ve been in that ground anyway. They must feel something is building. Unlike us.

Just clap the lads

The team are playing as if they've just undergone the old war front treatment for The Clap.

One thing that doesn’t help is the lack of character in the ground. There’s minimal flags or anything. I’d encourage everyone to bring in their own flags and add a bit of character to it. I’m getting one to mark our ten year anniversary for the prem win.

Was thinking about this in the wake of some of the new grounds and whatnot lately but I do wonder if we built ours at the worst time. I can see ours being considered one of the worst grounds for its size in the next decade.

The rise of all these "away days" social media accounts haven't helped.

I think they are a large part of the root of both the uptick of growing numbers but also what you said.

When we pulled ot back to 2-3 for about 5-10 minutes there was actually abit of atmosphere  just like the old days

So it CAN be achieved when we the players on the pitch show us ABIT of passion.

So all the happy clippers moaning and crying about " Get behind the team" bo11ox just stuff.

What happens on the pitch, is reflected in the stands👍🏾

We were saying that earlier. Considering how much the vast majority of the crowd were against the team in the first half (and they deserved everthing they got) once the players  actually tried and gave it a good go the atmosphere was as good as it possibly has been this season.

Like I said, what happens on the pitch, is reflected in the stands, show us some passion those left in the stands will reciprocate 👍🏾

I’m all for showing a bit of negative opinions if the players are taking the piss out the fans like they did in the first 4 minutes. But to flip it around slightly, in the pre kick off team announcements it ain’t great to hear half the team being booed when their picture is on

the screens before a ball has been kicked..

And then when they went 3 up, some people were actively celebrating.. atmosphere was very strange today first half.. why is it not continuous rudkin, marti or king power out chants? Instead it was silent

It's never a given that even a local derby can get our end up for it, but that was class today.

100% helped by the players, though. Proper chicken and egg, but as soon as it was obvious they were up for it, it turned into one of the best away ends in a long, long time.

And that is the difference - the players showed desire and a good attitude and the fans responded. That's is what we've been calling for.

Please with the squad today. Now carry that forward and we'll back you.

100%. I have been one of their harshest critics this season, but that group that played today is one I can get behind each week.

I’ll be coming up from Cornwall for the Bristol game, hopefully be another good atmosphere. Was there last time (and Plymouth), both ended in depressing 1-0 defeats 🥴
