Tbf I thought the Watford support wasn't great. Heard one of their player's songs, along with a few digs at us but they weren't particularly impressive.

SK1 tried today and I heard a few bits from next to away end but it's give and take. You can only respond to what's on the pitch and once Watford's first goal went in, the result was only going one way and everyone knew it.

Our support has always been average at best. Back in the 90s our away support was up there as one of the best in the country, and  on its day filbert street could be special.

Let’s not kid ourselves though. We brought in a stupid drum in the early 2000s and it all went downhill from there. Daft clappers  and copying chants from tinpot clubs like palace.

many fans will continue to blame it on what is going on, on the pitch but  when we do play well our support is still crap with most leaving early -  The Ipswich game.

we need to embrace what we are now and movie on.

Movie on.

There's just not enough passionate support.

Take out the corner, parts of P1 and parts of L1 and there's **** all there and people are going for something to do rather than it being the main passion in their life.

Times change and our support has gone from good to mediocre at best.

Apparently could hear the players communicating (couldn’t have been ours) from the back of the stands

As a general rule, you don't tend to hear professional players communicating.   Well not much, anyway, as they generally know what they're doing.

Go to a non-league game, and that's one of the things that strikes you as so different.   There's so much shouting, between players, between manager and players, and between everyone and the referee/linesmen.

The most amusing bit is where in many non-league games, the ref (and linesman) will give it back as good as they get.    I went to a game yesterday, manager screaming for oppo player to be sent off,  and the ref just screamed back ... words to the effect of "shut the f&ck up, I'm the ref, not you".   Great stuff!

We were always brilliant at Wembley. But league games, even then in the 90s, we were very changeable and largely pretty bland.

Give us a bank holiday in Southend or Blackpool (Blackburn away) and the away ends were mental. Not singing, though, ever. Just boisterous. But an ordinary Saturday against Middlesbrough or Charlton, nah. We were much the same as we are now. A mixed bag of supporters club nerds, proper troublemakers  and young lads on the beer.

Yes we were bouncing so hard on that temporary stand at Blackpool we nearly went through it one year.

I think Southend end away was 1991 or 1992 - 34 years ago can you believe it.

Scaling that bloody fence took some doing I can tell you even as a 21 year old

Miserable pricks will sit in silence all game (even at 1-0) and then jeer Stolarczyk every time he touches the ball.

What is the point in being there?

To give some vindication to their own sad lives.

I’ve known it worse.

if the team gave more it’d be easier to get behind them. The team are just so bloody lethargic.

I thought it improved when the youngsters came ion and they provided more of the energy this team lacks so badly.

For **** sake take note Marti.

Worst I've seen it in a long time tonight. Whilst some dispute whether it's a rivalry or not but I would expect some level of bite.

Eh? Was the best home atmosphere since the Cov and Birmingham games.

My brother took my son and said our fans were vocal but derby for the size they were quite Audible. I’m not sure what to make it of as it sounded plenty loud watching it on the Telly. Marti & the players have some work to do to get fans really bouncing! How about going on a winning run for once that will help.

Id say they were quiet with how many they brought. Entire away end sold out and all you could hear was "football in a library" esque chants and the odd one about bobby Clarke.

From a "as close as you can get to the away fans" perspective in block P,  they were loud in the first half but masses quieter in the 2nd.

Hardly heard anything from them once we went 2-1 up but, for a very local derby, the banter and back and forth chants were seriously met with great humour between the two sets. The odd occasional light aggression but I was surprised how the attitude between us seemed to be "your'e shit, we're shit, we both know it so lets just have some good natured fun" And that's what it was!

As ever the over zealousness of the Police, but this time mainly the safety stewards, and even moreso the safety stewards' managers and their willingness to pile in to quell any sort of goal celebrations was massive overkill. After our first goal, a hi vizzed  up manager with R1 on  emblazoned on it, shot down the steps physically yanking every one of his minions towards us to stop us rubbing it in to the visibly gutted Derby lot. Absolutely no need and was just egotistically showing off his position of power in front of his female boss who made an appearance also.

I do think....read hope.... the Police picked up on the banter being more good natured last night as the smiles and laughing between the 2 sets of fans was plain to see, not like other times where there is pure aggression and hatred but fair play to the Derby lads, it was great fun and a lot better and louder than usual.........but it could be so much better.

Gotta say, it was a VERY satisfying win and to watch their lot leave looking so defeated, deflated, downtrodden with their tails between their legs was as smug a feeling as you'll ever get.

Yeah, I went in P block for this one to see the difference to other areas. Went in L for Cov as well. Was pleasantly surprised actually. Very boisterous in there which is where I think our fans are at our best. Was good banter between both set of fans but it was good that there was also plenty of team focussed support (from both sets in fairness)  rather than just staring at each other. Could hear the section a few times too which was good to hear from so far away.

Not sure which game some were at last night but compared to the rest of the season it was okay.

Derby were loud at times and probably one of the better sets of fans and it was okay ish from us at times.

Dont get me wrong, this was an east midlands derby, they've not played here before, we needed the win so taking that into account it was still woeful.

By our standards, it was decent last night overall. There was some good noise at times from the two blocks either side of the away corner and also from the other end. As always, our home atmosphere could be maximised if all like-minded fans were in one place of the ground.

I'm assuming you meant to say they've not played here in recent years prior to Monday?
