You disagree?

Transfer market has him down at €8m euros, 20m plus is a bit of a stretch.

He should be signed because the old guard is simply rotten, just like young players should be phased in to get rid of over paid shite

But the fragile state of the finances will dictate the movement

It's us. We cock everything up. Even if we had an option, we'll fail to activate it and watch as he signs for Coventry in time for their Premier League campaign.

Not sure when the Afobe transfer you talk about happened ( he had so many) but the Rule change banning Bridge transfers was introduced in 2020

5bis Bridge transfer:

  1. No club or player shall be involved in a bridge transfer.
  • It shall be presumed, unless established to the contrary, that if two consecutive transfers, national or international, of the same player occur within a period of 16 weeks, the parties (clubs and player) involved in those two transfers have participated in a bridge transfer.
  • The FIFA Disciplinary Committee, in accordance with the FIFA Disciplinary Code, will impose sanctions on any party subject to the FIFA Statutes and regulations involved in a bridge transfer.”

From a business perspective, I guess we could come to an agreement with Rennes to decline our option (or they buy out the option) and Rennes then sell him on

Transfermarkt should never be used for their player valuations

Kristiansen - €15m

Faes - €14m

So you think he is worth £20m plus but has a £5m fee in place

I didn't say I think he was worth £20m plus

But I was just showing that the values on Transfer Market should not be used for any form of benchmarking a players value

Yet €8m is £7m which would account for an upturn in form since his agreed price was set

I think it's wildly unlikely that this signing goes through unfortunately.

The combined odds of KP not f**king it up and James not realising by then that we're a shipwreck are ridiculously slim.

Will be absolutely galling when it fails as he is clearly our best and most passionate player.

If Jordan has an ounce of common sense he'll rum as far away from this sh*tshow as quickly as possible.

We don't deserve him.

He deserves better.

If he does some how stick it all out he'll go down in folklore.

Wolves bought him and then sent him on a loan with an obligation to buy, couldn't buy and sell in the same window

Yeah so they sold him then as it's an obligation to buy and we could do that with James in theory

Yeah you'd just loan him with an obligation wouldn't you?

This is where it all comes back to PSR and what the numbers will look like for the time  he was out on loan and of course what sum the loaning club would be prepared to pay and indeed what conditions that have to be met to trigger the obligation. If you have an obligation without conditions then for accounting purposes the PSR submissions have to be adjusted as the presumption is that the transfer has happened

Let’s just suppose he cost £15 million on a 5 year deal. That period out on loan his amortisation sum would fall to Leicester so say it was a season that would cost LCFC £3 million..

Underpinning all of that you would have to get the player to agree to it all

I would imagine we will make use of the option on him next summer and sell for a fair bit of profit, or does that make too much sense for our hierarchy?
