FosseSpark Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 We are skint as **** with an impending points deduction and a manager who we would sack if we werent so skint. Again.. Our scouting team identified Julian Carranza as a hot prospect. We will be getting no one of any quality in Jan by that route. So lets hope we can get Braybrooke back and that someone chucks us two brilliant players for Monga. Sort of like a Gee and Ormondroyd for Paul Kitson arrangement. 1
Wortho Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 I think Ronnie Edwards is a very good defender and he’s not getting a game at Soton. But I can’t see that happening or indeed anything.
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 Timothy Fosu-Mensah he'll be right at home at Seagrave
73LCFC Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 We don’t want/need anybody, while these morons are still running the show & Marti as manager, it will be eat, sleep, shit repeat.
Gazza M Posted 28 December 2025 Posted 28 December 2025 It's not as much who do we need in, but needing plenty more out. Faes Winks Soumare Vesty Daka Ayew In that order. We need a striker or two in and a full back comfortable left or right on loan. The rest can wait until shit show cleared up a bit more. 2

Sadly can't see us getting buyers for all of them, their salaries are too big. Might be the summer before we can offload the likes of Winks and Soumare. Bit harsh on Ayew as well. He at least tries and might actually work if we had a striker he could play off.
cityfanlee23 Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 Players catching my eye at the moment that could do with game time or could be cheap: Josh Acheampong - CB - Chelsea, would be an ambitious loan, as he's surprisingly played 4 games in the champions league, but struggling for game time in the prem and we may be able to convince Enzo that consistent minutes would help develop him further, unused sub for 2 months in the league. Tawfik Bentayeb - ST - Troyes, 9 goals 1 assist in 12 appearances, 8 of those in the league with a goal every 88 mins and has played striker, right wing and attacking mid in those games, 23 years old and looks like a natural finisher in the making, would be £2-3m i'd guess. Jeremy Arevalo - ST - Racing Santander, 8 goals in 18, goal every 109 minutes. Rumoured to be monitored by much bigger clubs than us so would possibly be a fight, but we can offer him immediate minutes and a pathway to the premier league. 6"1, strong player who drifts into channels, makes runs into the box and is surprisingly good defensively too. 1
FoxinNotts Posted 29 December 2025 Posted 29 December 2025 Need abit of a shuffle around with what we've actually got, or able to realistically get! We're not going up this season. No chance. We'll get a points deduction, and finish mid table. We're not going to be able to spend anything. I would.... In: Give Antonio a pay-as- you play contract. Bring back from loans: Woyo Coulibaly. Sammy Braybrooke Out: Send back: Carranza Ramsey. Get rid anyway we can: Winks.

Don't think there's any chance in hell we get Acheampong from Chelsea. If we were going that ambitious we might as well ask about George who has played even less minutes and could guarantee himself a go up front as he apparently wants out. But realistically there's going to be suitors for these players at a higher level than us. 1

Not sure what the deal is with Betayeb. Looks like he is on loan at Troyes from a Moroccan club. But I can’t see when his contract there ends. But they are the type of markets to look at.
JimJams Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 He joined them in 2022, so you'd imagine it's a 4 or 5 year contract, so either the coming summer or the following.
Nick Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 I’d like us to take a look at Chido Obi from Man Utd (formerly Arsenal). They’d be open to an EFL loan but no idea what wages the young lad would be on. 1
brookfox Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Obviously it’s all dependent on buying clubs/contracts but ideally. Out; Winks, Faes, Kristiansen, Carranza, Ramsey (sorry!) In; a semi competent striker (ideally one who could also be here next season), competition at CM for Skipp/James He may be a useful stop gap but can’t see the point in Antonio and I’m happy seeing the bench filled with academy players. Getting in someone who could get 10 before the end of the season has to be the priority.

DJO-FOX Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 I’d go to the league below and get Ballard (20) from Orient. 10 goals from 17 games and has the potential to sell on.
happy85 Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 Can’t believe we not linked to a LB yet most pressing position needs to be filled 3
Lambert09 Posted 1 January Posted 1 January (edited) If we did sell fatawu and have a bit of money to spend, I’d love us to go for Yirenkyi from Nordsjaelland 19 year old graduate from the right to dream academy (known for the best African talent) and a proper midfield enforcer. Shove him next to JJ and we boss teams off the park https://www.transfermarkt.us/caleb-yirenkyi/profil/spieler/1240763 Edited 1 January by Lambert09 2
