Jazzy_Jeff Posted 7 December 2025 Posted 7 December 2025 We can afford to lose Faes and Winks or Soumare without replacing them. If we can get rid of all three plus Daka we should throw it all at a striker. In addition to that if we are able to I would turn JJ’s deal permanent and use the two loan spots for a right back and another striker.
beepee1984 Posted 7 December 2025 Posted 7 December 2025 Although I think a number 9 is what we need the most, I think we will see most movement in defence Faes, Okoli and Kristiansen have all played for their International teams in the past 2 years and will surely be looking for first team football to attempt to get to the World Cup (although none of them are actually good enough - I expect they have thoughts of grandeur) Although I don't believe this will weaken our starting 11, we will need to bring in reinforcements Soumare is popular in Europe, so we maybe able to get a fee for him. Unfortunately I can see Ayew, Daka and Winks sitting out their contracts here - I don't see anyone paying Winks wages and I think he doesn't care about being frozen out.

Although not ideal, not actually that arsed about Ayew and Daka staying put til the end of the season. At least they put the effort in despite their obvious limitations. Added to the fact we're well short up top anyway. Ideally though Daka smashes it at Afcon and someone is desperate enough to come in early for him. 1

True I forgot Daka would be putting himself in the shop window in Africa - in that case hopefully we can ship him out for a fee too
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 7 December 2025 Posted 7 December 2025 As I said weeks back we won't sign anyone. Self imposed spending ban. But, getting Ramsey and Souttar back is basically two new signings which could be huge for us.

I don't have too much of an issue with these , despite their flaws I don't think they are the type to rock the boat too much. If we could find some funds, Left back, CM, CF.
LCFCCKEANO Posted 8 December 2025 Posted 8 December 2025 Think the Winks rumour indicates his agent or the club are shopping him actively, seeing as the article specifically says it could lead to a move. Out of them all him and Faes are the two I can see happening in January
MPH Posted 8 December 2025 Posted 8 December 2025 Worth some cheeky Enquiries for Evan Ferguson? Played about half of Roma’s games this season and only scored 1 goal? 1
MPH Posted 9 December 2025 Posted 9 December 2025 More realistically though, Fulham have a youngster on loan from Bayern Munich Kusi asare who isn’t getting many games so they might want him to move on..

Finnegan Posted 9 December 2025 Posted 9 December 2025 IF Carranza's loan can be terminated and IF we get it right a second time round bringing in someone even just vaguely competent up front on loan, I could still see us creeping in to the playoffs, before a points deduction at least. Doesn't even need to be someone world class, I'd settle for someone that chips in with a goal every three or so games.

Joe Gelhardt is about four foot tall and Adam Armstrong couldn't reach his shins. There's plenty of ways to skin a cat. I don't think it particularly matters what type of forward you have, they just need some instincts to get in to space. Ours are all awful.

We will be stuck with him as we never learn. Edited 9 December 2025 by les-tah 1
