I like Mav but he causes himself more problems by having g to repeat the same thing 3 times even though he could’ve crossed first time.  Bring on Monga.

I think swap Soumaré for Ayew in the 8.  Bring on Carranza/Daka for Soumaré and Monga for Mav and we win this.

I don't dislike Ayew as much as some on here. But I really dont think his playing style suits us if our wingers play as out and out wingers and he has no one running beyond him

Would give Stephy 15 mins of the second and see what he can do, slowly came into it after a disastrous first 35

Defending well, hate to say it but we look more comfortable with Faes at that back 

Soumare has been OK without being spectacular, with winks starting you can see we look alot more comfortable in the middle 

It's a game that could go either way tbh

Decent at the back, decent in midfield, atrocious once we get to within 30 yards of the opposition goal sums up the entire half.

 

our attack is non existent. That’s what happens when you pretty much let Vardy, Okazaki, Ulloa etc etc all leave over the years and replace them with nothing

I feel like we're getting there? I see why he's picking Ayew because he can hold up and get out of tight spaces with the ball but the problem is he basically blunts every attack that he enables by doing so.

On balance a pretty solid performance I would say.. Coventry is a good side and we were clearly better, even with much cutting edge in the final third.

Soumare also cant play through a heavy press. But neither can Skipp so I dont really see the point in changing that at the moment.

For me, Ayew could be alright against teams that will park the bus but better teams like Cov that will give it a go and won't have their defensive line on the edge of their own box, we need an option to be able to get in behind them. Their central defenders are having it easy, it's only dasilva that's having a tough time against Fatawu
