I just don't think we can afford Martin.

Which is almost like an early Christmas gift.

So you think stick with Cifuentes or it’s King in the job?

he isn't learning (I genuinely thought he would)

he isn't even trying anything different

poor manager

Thats just it , good managers learn from previous mistakes

This fool just keeps making them and expects different results

Marti  has so few players with an attacking threat this is hardly a surprise and if Ramsey is out it is very worrying. To make matters worse conceding soft goals need to look at the defensive set up. Losing Vardy and Bilal and expecting we will be fine in the Championship with final day loans after raising £50 odd million shouldn’t  rest solely on the manager

Hang on. RM got saints promoted, or was that a dream? Was it Cifuentes in a wig?

Lots of people that we wouldn't wish to see in charge right now have won promotion from this division, albeit in very different circumstances to the ones we find ourselves in now. Martin is absolutely, unequivocally one of them. He'd represent the worst imaginable continuation of the Top era philosophy. Personally, I'd like to see a rethink, an overhaul, a change of ideas. Appointing Martin would mean that Top was doubling down on his ethos, at a time when we need to see the end of his ethos. Why on earth would we wish to see Top's agenda pushed any further than it has been already?

No.

But a new guy might have the intelligence to 'wake up ans smell the coffee' and noticed that those 3 aren't the answer and continuing to pick them won't bring around different results,  but playing some youth or even someone slightly out of position may do.   It's his total lack of willingness to even try something that's killing us.

He has tried quite a lot so far, subbing players at HT changing starting 11, maybe he will over time start bringing in the youth.

Can't see another manager coming in and playing the youth he will start the same players we are seeing now ?

exactly we have got two players who have been relegated twice and another who has been relegated once in the back 4 who are not good enough and we have only brought Okoli in and lost Justin

Would it?

Cos given how little we seem to have available I think we either stick with him or get King back.  Martin might well be available but he's going to want a penny or two, and he's not worth having even if he was paying us.

I reckon we'll have such little financial backing that we're in a conundrum of either keeping Cifuentes and trying to back him a bit in January, or just bringing in a manager and having this exact squad until the end of the season cos we'll have to spend what little we've got on compensation.

If the issue is money I'm available for pennies and I can get us promoted if this is what the board wants.

I'm the Simeone manager style so some of our current players are gonna start crying in the dressing room and quit. I'll give them the option to leave the team or, even better, quit the sport altogether. I'm gonna be a fair manager.

I think they haven't got the money (or inclination) to do anything else really.

He inherited a horrendous situation, no doubt....but I've seen nothing to suggest he's capable of overcoming the problems he's inherited. I just think the guesswork has started already and that's a major concern.

Is Page injured? I never saw the full bench. He'd be a better switch for Ramsey than Carranza, for me.

it doesn’t matter who’s manager,

Until a majority of this squad gets booted & replaced it’s f****** groundhog day every season.

its instilled in this weak, feeble bunch.

It’s not good, but changing managers again will only make things worse. The board and the squad are the real problem, plus would you trust this board to appoint someone that can sort all of this out?

Vent your anger at the players and at the board, they deserve it more.

I wouldn’t be sorry to see him go, but who would replace him?

You just know it would be Martin and I couldn’t stomach that.

We just keep on plumbing new depths, until Top and Rudkin **** off it won’t matter who the manager is. Can’t wait for some of these charlatans to leave, not fit to wear the shirt.

Sad times.

Ange

I like his attacking ethos...

But not with our current options.  We can't score under Marti, and I fear that would continue under Ange.

But I like him as a manager, but not right for us at present
