Won't necessarily make them score but we need to actually create chances for them

Even when they get chances they don't score and they don't get chances because they are either to weak or slow.

There was a red flag for me in the RL interview, he said "you'll know we're playing well when the back 4 are in the final third". Firstly, playing a high line with the leagues slowest player at CB doesn't sound smart to me and secondly the death by football, controlled possession thing is massively outdated and very easy for a solid championship side to counter (literally). That immediately worried me that we'd (again) learned nothing from past mistakes.

I truly don't care anymore. It could be him, it could be anyone else we can realistically attract. Terribly run and woeful players. We're going nowhere, fast.

Just because the board are to blame doesn’t mean the manager is blameless. He’s horrendous! He’s lied about basically ever since he’s been here!Ā

This is what has irked me the most. The fact he was said he was going to do one think and has done the complete opposite. Means f all going on a podcast saying he is creating a certain culture and play the youth. Club is rotten and manager includedĀ

Ā There is absolutely no defending a manager after this? This isn't the owners yes they need to go as well but this is all down on the manager. He is poor and out of his depth. Honestly I genuinely think that Andy king would be getting more out of this squad than Marti.

Lampard and Edwards have both been successful with bang average squads in this league before. RVN and Cooper had better squads and did worse. I don't care what Ruud did abroad, he was pathetic here. Worse than Pleat, Holloway and Taylor.

Ā

This team has about 3 or 4 players that are better than this level. The rest are Championship standard. And the problem now is expectation, people expecting us to be top 2 because HMS Piss The League ran the show 2 years ago.Ā

Ā

Again, you're barking up the wrong tree. In aiming your shots at the manager you're letting the two people to blame for this squad off the hook.

Is it too much to ask the manager to actually get performances out of this squad? One win and two defeats in 8 games in this league is relegation-like form. That is much worse than what this squad is capable of.

Ayew got one in 6 in the premĀ

I don’t think it’s too much to expect him scoring more than 1 in 12 odd gamesĀ

he's way to slow, he's 34 past it.

Ā

not good enough.

The problem is, it would just be someone like Russel bloody Martin

Would it?

Cos given how little we seem to have available I think we either stick with him or get King back.Ā  Martin might well be available but he's going to want a penny or two, and he's not worth having even if he was paying us.

Ā

I reckon we'll have such little financial backing that we're in a conundrum of either keeping Cifuentes and trying to back him a bit in January, or just bringing in a manager and having this exact squad until the end of the season cos we'll have to spend what little we've got on compensation.

He pandered to these shit twats rather than letting them rot. He's also culpable. Get out fraud.

Yeah, I mean Aiyawatt isn’t going to give up on his pathetic vision of playing like Man City so rather than going down a different route, it will 100% be someone like Martin if we do make the switch.Ā

how is the new guy going to make Daka, Ayew or Carranza score ?

Ā

does he have a magic wand

No.

Ā

But a new guy might have the intelligence to 'wake up ans smell the coffee' and noticed that those 3 aren't the answer and continuing to pick them won't bring around different results,Ā  but playing some youth or even someone slightly out of position may do.Ā  Ā It's his total lack of willingness to even try something that's killing us.

He had a chance to be strong and drop them. He’s shown he hasn’t got the bottle and is a very weak managerĀ

One shot on target over 90 minutes against Millwall. That just about sums up how pathetic we are

I just don't think we can afford Martin.Ā Ā

Ā

Which is almost like an early Christmas gift.

We've won one game since August. The bloke doesn't know his best team. We have no style of play. He keeps playing dross like Thomas and Ayew and not bothering enough with the academy.Ā

Ā

Shite manager and I want him out

I’d wager heavily that he isn’t getting sacked any time soon. Also, that even if someone replaced him tomorrow, they’d still pick Ayew as our striker. Like it or not, he’s the only person on our books capable of playing that role at this level. šŸ˜ž

3 of those draws should have been wins if we weren't useless at both endsĀ

You could make allowances for the ā€œit’s the same shit squadā€ argument if he’d done his utmost to play the younger hungrier players. He hasn’t.

Ā

He’s sided with Faes, Vestergaard, Winks, Ayew, Reid, Thomas, Choudhury

I think that's the biggest thing for me

Ā

he isn't learning (I genuinely thought he would)Ā

Ā

he isn't even trying anything differentĀ

Ā

poor managerĀ
