Oh come on, he’s inherited a pile of crap, but most of all he’s also got Rudkin and this so called owner to answer to? Most of us would want the pay off after a couple of months.

Selecting some of our perennial failures and not selecting enough Academy products is bad, but he's been here 5 minutes.

 

Changing managers 3 times a season hardly ever works, it's F*rest-esque levels of embarrassing, and no one worth anything as a manager would come and join the circus at the King Power just now.

 

This. I just cannot understand why we didn’t blood the youth this season. You just can’t tell me that Nelson, Page, Alves, Monga and that striker lad wouldn’t have improved us this season. It would have also galvanised the fans.

He's been sold down the river by our useless senior management, but he faces big questions for me. His style of play is awful to watch and ineffective. Baffling team selections. We seem to be getting worse. Needs 7-9 points out of the next 12 and clear progress or he's staring down the barrel of the sack.

Pretty sure I compared his record to Alex Neil, Mark Robins, Gary Rowett & Frank Lampard from his QPR stint but was getting a free pass because he wasn't British and was shouted down. 3 of those managers are now above us, and the other got a point against us by largely playing us off the park. 

 

Average Championship manager, which if that's what our ambitions are for the season then fine stick with, but that's all you're ever going to get from him. Talks a good game about promoting young players, 'tough' stance on the wantaways only to bring them all straight back and play almost every week. 

 

Agreed nothing will change whilst Top and Rudkin are at the wheel, but if this is the best we can do we're in for peak Craig Levein/Rob Kelly era of finishing between 12th and 19th in this league.

I'm not supporting Marti as his selections seem poor.

 

But really we've given him fvck all to work with. Fergie Clough or Pasley would struggle with these over paid useless cvnts

We clearly aren't good enough to to get playoff +8-9 points. 

 

Id much rather we wrote this year off and played more young players. We're too good to go down. We're not good enough to go up. Invest in the youth.

You’re 100% right.

 

Someone said in a thread earlier that they still blame Rodgers for our predicament now. And they were 100% right too. 
 

The red flags with that cnut were for the present (2021 autumn) m and also for the future (now) 

 

It was so blatantly obvious, but the vast majority  (on here too) thought it was a joke because they couldn’t see beyond the end of their nose

He needs to play our younger players. Would rather fail to get promoted playing our younger upcoming talents and get them experience than relive last season just in the championship. His achilles heel is that he’s so afraid to lose that he starts “experience” over potential and yet it’s the very thing that leads to us losing, cause let’s be fair a draw is a loss of points its not a win. He either pivots and starts playing young players or his days are numbered at the club bc I think most of us are sick of what we see on the pitch.

Or the board are telling him who to play?

 

Said it 3 times on here tonight now and I’ve nothing to prove it, but I start to wonder. 
 

Cooper, RvN and Martí all want to pick players even my Mum can see are shite

he keeps selecting the same idiots, we don’t ever look like scoring.

It's actually not though that's the thing, quite a few are just biding there time or simply not good enough.

 

We have lost our best striker and best midfielder he is not afraid to make changes as we have seen in almost every game, maybe we should give him more than 11 games to find his feet, we are still 5th after all. (point off)

 

Agree he does need to change the back line, we did go 3 at the back near the end maybe we see that going forward, could also bring a few more youth players in like Nelson and Page as well.

 

Still think its way to harsh to judge after what he has to work with and the time he has been here

Playing the academy lads not only develops them as players but also as assets. It’s nuts for the club to be so timid with them.

His disregard of Nelson, use of Ayew and Soumare and persistence with LT are reasons alone to sack him. 
 

Add that to his record in the championship for the last 15 months…

He is playing what he believes is his strongest team.

 

What he’s not grasping yet, which is the worrying part, is that those players tonight are our weakest, not strongest as he believes (or is being told)
