We’re not getting promoted this season. Not a chance in hell. Pointless changing manager unless it looks like we’ll go down. Keep him whilst all this restructuring is happening, and we get this points deduction out the way.

A dose of reality sadly lacking on here, we would not be able to sign anyone, not many would want to come, we are not an attractive proposition right now….and if unbelievably we did, we would be straight back down……personally I would sooner see us consolidate, get rid of points deduction, develop some good youngsters, offload those not performing, and restart next season….when we might be a club people want to join…..

My ideal replacement would be Mark Robins, as I think he is the closest thing to Pearson in the lower leagues.

I wouldn't mind Gary O'Neil as I rate him as a manager. Did a very good job at Bournemouth and his early days at Wolves. Yes, he fell away towards the end, but I feel Wolves are a poisoned chalice club at the minute - at manager would struggle once they settle and new manager bounce wears off.

I am not convinced by O’Neill, think he is ok short term but beyond a few months he struggles with man management and given the alleged player power here think we all know how that would end.

We can all make sensible and well rounded suggestions but truth is it will be Russell Martin, has been the clubs target for 3 seasons or so is available and plays the way the board want us too. I imagine he is already lined up ready and waiting.

So who is available and who is a realistic option? Because we are now at a point where this scenario becomes likely to happen.

Martin O'Neil once Celtics permanent manager is sorted? I know it's a bit desperate.... But.... We could do worse.

Steady the ship until the technical director lands....

I just want someone who will tear into these players and drop them all if needed, just to get a performance out of them. This season is a write off now with this squad and points deduction, survival and planning for next year is the remit.

We are becoming a worse proposition by the day, and so any Manager now is another roll of the dice.
Just give me someone with some genuine personality and fire to take on these bunch of wasters, and not a faker like Marti.

I’m just at the point now where we need a bastard and a motivator.

I somewhat reluctantly wanted Moyes when Cooper went. Not because I thought he’s a bad manager, but because I thought it wasn’t a 3 year + appointment.  My brain was obviously living in the past on the hope we still had an opportunity to re establish as a PL team.

The reality is we’re stuck with this team of unconfident ex prem has beens and players who don’t want to be here.  The only way we saviour anything from this season post points deduction is to get someone who can get some discipline and fire into what we have.

Problem is I don’t know who is available with that profile!

A real shame Nige isn’t really in a position to come in

Exactly the kind of personality we need with this squad

Is he still not good? Huge shame

If we sack TODAY, the new manager will have potentially 2-3 weeks to analyse us before January.

Will it take 2-3 weeks to come to the realisation we're dog shit?

Just abolished the current system. Players win matches not tactics. Use his motivation skills, just to stay in the league. Reassess the situation in the Summer.

Warnock (Actually want him if we can't get a more permanent manager in just for the stability and half time screaming)
Hassenhuttl
Adi Hutter (would need to sell a player to fund a big wage)
Bo Svensson
Henrik Rydstrom
Carrick
Mowbray
