Rowett… the man that was sacked a few months ago by the team that just beat us…

Hassenhuttl… the man we beat 9-0 and then he lost 9-0 again a little later. Everyone moaned that we signed players from that team and now you want the manager?

**** me I’m glad some of you lot aren’t in charge

have to disagree, from my side 2 decent shouts.
this is where we are as a club.
We have no money, only players who play with pride are young academy lads ( Page and Nelson) massively overpaid squad with a host wanting to leave or leaving end of season.
director of football who is absolutely crap and an owner who has made a great effort to ruin his fathers incredible legacy.

rowett and Hassenhuttl might not be the most popular but I don’t think bad ideas.
rowett knows the league so well and will play for results and not pass for the sake of it. Yes sacked at Oxford but he did great last year to keep them up and they will likely go down this year.
hassenhuttl I am not sure, more fools on our end as they lost 9-0 on 2 occasions and we went and signed 2 of their back 4.
After the last 3 managers that our so called head of football has picked, our fans can’t do any worse surely.

Sack a manager that’s gonna get us relegated and employ a manager that was going to get Oxford relegated? What?

whoever we employ should be on a 6 month contract, a championship proven manager would be great, just not Rowett. He very much has a track record of being a bit shit and falling out with players which as much as I hate them, will just get us relegated.

The statement does say King being interim until a permanent manager is confirmed.
But knowing these clowns that’ll change to King getting it until the end of the season once we’re turned down by everyone.

At this point I don't care about results, I just want someone to come in and give the players an absolute kicking. Graeme Souness in charge with Malcolm Tucker as his assistant.

And a feckin’ Dalek as fitness coach. 👍

Go down the leagues in the search for a new manager (if we indeed have the opportunity to have one) and ignore all the usual suspects.

Welcome Christian Fuchs 🤣

It's got to be the 'best' affordable 6 month interim we can get that might want a crack at rebuild or happily leave.

It'll probably be Oscar Garcia

I get people want Mowbray primarily because if you squint a bit it kind of looks like we've got Pearson back, but the stuff about him sorting the players out, instilling motivation and discipline, getting results - he couldn't do that at West Brom and that's at a place where he was already thought of very highly. As far as I can tell the consensus among West Brom fans was that he was actually a bit of a soft touch with their players and their disciplinary record went down the pan after he came in. A lot of their complaints were very similar to ours about Cifuentes - weird team selections, players being asked to do things they weren't suited to, no real structure to the team with or without the ball, horrendous game management. What exactly is the appeal other than we want someone to get stuck into our players and we assume he'll probably do that because he's northern and "old school"?

Suspect such a manager would be a disaster personally.

Man I hope you’re right. Doesn’t look like he’s got much in the way of football experience, and I know he’s 0-1, but I bet he’d still kick the ever loving shite out of our players, and that’s what they really need. Fingers crossed. IMG_1157.thumb.jpeg.bc62a2e5430ab7d6d0bd33b8210533b8.jpeg

My top three choices:

1) Lee Carsley - Been wanting him the past few years genuinely think he will be class, but can’t see him leaving his gig with the FA with our current position.

2) Mark Robbins - I doubt we will pay his compensation but I think he would be interested even with the mess we are in.

3) Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - Good direct attacking football, history of working well with ego’s, and isn’t afraid of facing the music or taking on a challenge.

We should have a better team than what we have seen this season even with all our issues.
With the right manager our squad should be mid table to play offs 5th or 6th . Oxford will go down, have the lowest budget in the league (bar Sheff Wed). Did excellent to stay up last season.

rowett results have been mixed certainly. Good Birmingham, ok at Millwall and good last year Oxford not so this year. He clearly knows the league and could do well. I might be wrong of course. Just think it is not a bad suggestion.

pearson not rated at derby, Forest, Watford etc but loved here. Rowett could be the one to set the right standards for our club and get us back on track. Maybe I was a fan when he was a player here and want him to do well rather than it being a viable option.

If anyone really has any confidence in this board making a successful appointment  as Manager, then I'm afraid your deluded.

It will just be the same crap until all the poison in the club is gone.

Dont start planning your play off dates just yet...

Bo Henriksen in!
“I've never experienced a football coach like Henriksen. He's a very positive person, full of energy and very good professionally. The way he approaches the players, the whole club, is unique. Everybody loves Bo. He's positively crazy and exactly the kind of coach Mainz needed.
