There’s normally someone who comes from nowhere and isn’t even in current odds.
So I’m hopeful that will happen.
Although looking at the last 3 appointments it could still be someone worse than Cifuentes.

I'm surprised your not pushing for your favourite from the summer, and to be honest, I'll take him.

We’re a far less attractive proposition now for any potential manager than at any point since the Thais took over. Of course it could be someone worse.

I've got nothing new to report: Top is either completely delusional or just doesn't care. Him and Rudkin are a running joke in the football circles; we on this forum aren't the only ones who's been in on it. By now everyone knows they are fools.

Any decent manager who signs up with us hasn't been paying attention.

Or someone lower down the odds. Puel was in the odds about 10th favourite.

Wagner or hassenhutl maybe?

Unless we take a risk on a hungry up and coming manager who has played the game at the top level, proved himself as a manager at a lower league, it will end up being Ruud, Marti, the 3rd.

Would definitely have him or Mowbray.
I do wish we’d at least look abroad.

Me too. Look at the clubs that have and the success they've recently had.

Sad times when you have a DoF not able to look past his own nose for appointments. Another sign of incompetence.

I think we get an ageing manager - perhaps a bit of a dinosaur - who feels sorry for Aiyawatt and Rudkin - and has nothing to lose or prove, or a young/up and coming manager who sees this is a step up. We’ve gone too far to get anyone with a decent track record in the prime of their career.

Russell Martin

Russell Martin???? Seriously???? Why is his name always in the hat whenever there's talk of likely candidates for a club in crisis??

I couldn't think of a worse choice. Southampton then Rangers??? Ring any bells?? When Rangers were being smashed and humiliated every game in the end, this was the guy blaming everything and everyone else......except himself. Martin can keep right away from the King Power. Managers who are 'available' means they are not any good and definitely not suited for our self-made predicament.

Cifuentes was another who wouldn't change his playing system .....in the hope that 'sooner or later' he would get lucky. By that time, we would be in League 1. Bring Jamie back as player/manager. Our icon, talisman and leader. IF only we had done more to have kept him at the time.

Seeing as iit is Australia Day here I say give it to Kevin Muscat he would at the very least get these personalities back in line or out the door.

Absolutely ****ing not

Gary Rowett seems like the best option available to us right now.

Russell Martin should be avoided like the plague.  I can't see Gerrard wanting it.  We can't afford anyone currently in employment.

Would you watch all 9,363 episodes of Neighbours in a row?

You mean again? I grew up about 15 minutes from Ramsey St you know

Oh completely, I was calling for Ange whilst he was the Socceroos coach so this is a long term want for me! There’s a snowballs chance in hell he will have any interest in coming

Sacked 4 times in his career including this season with the second worst team in the league who've just happened to beat us under their new manager

No point bothering if that's all we've got, stick with King until we can get someone in who's strong enough to move most of this horrible squad on

Don’t think this man has been mentioned but I would take a look at Alex Neil at Millwall doing a very good job, is very steady and aside from a spell at Stoke has done a good job at every club he has been at. Very good record in the championship and seems to take no prisoners. Would be a decent appointment.

Rowett's Wikipedia page makes for grim reading around signing plethora of experienced players that don't do very well for the club. Sounds ideal.

Andy Woodman is doing an incredible job at Bromley, although he’s unlikely to want to move with them running away with Division Four. Be great to have someone like him as head coach, King as his number two, with Big Nige as DF and Steve Walsh head of recruitment.

Not sure why the favour for old dinosaurs like Mowbray and Rowett even on a short term basis. Other Championship clubs (Norwich, Middlesboro, WBA) haven't gone down this route

I want to be inspired. The club needs some excitement to lift the storm clouds.
