He actually has a fairly solid track record of leaving teams in a much better state than he found them, having done this with Burton, Birmingham, Derby and Millwall. Whether he could replicate this with us is open to debate, but there would be more logic in appointing Rowett than many of the other names linked with us.

I’ve been saying this for almost 3 weeks and it generally just falls on deaf ears on here.

Ole wouldn’t surprise me

Would be baffling when Rowett and Mowbray are available.

As weird a move as I think it would be when he could do a lot better, those early couple of shouts for Carlos Carvahal might be true.

Carlos Corberan is also in the process of falling out with the Valencia Board….

I can feel a Percy bomb brewing

‘Understand Dean Smith is frontrunner for the #LCFC manager role having held positive talks over the past 48 hours. Club are keen to bring John Terry back, too.’

Totally agree with you on your realistic Rowett and Mowbray shouts…

However completely disagree with the opinion (and generally quite a few others) on Ole, I think people forget he achieved the highest league finish with United since Ferguson sometimes. Yeah at times it was below their standards, but those don’t represent our standards right now.

I think Ole would be a coup. He would also play a style of football that a lot of people want on here - his United side at their best were very much fast, a bit more direct counter attacking football. If people don’t want a “tippy tappy merchant” then Ole would honestly be a bit of a coup for where we’re at.

He gets meme’d because he was a victim of a top club in an awful state - and actually wasn’t even that bad.

I’m beginning to make the mistake of feeling optimistic and excited.

When will I learn FFS.

You won't. If you were capable of learning you'd have quit being a Leicester fan long ago. Just like the rest of us, you're still here because you will never learn. We're a band of boneheaded brothers.

Will it be a short term contract to see us through and keep us up or a 1.5 - 2.5 season contract?

If longer than 15 games will Rowett / Sheehan be the right men for a promotion push to the premier Lge which will be ‘the goal’ next season, if not no point it being 1 of them / those types.

OGS had Phelan, McKenna, Carrick and Eric Ramsay under him at United.

None of which would be coming here.

Hoping it's Carvahal, want a former defender to be in change as defensive organisation has been lacking so much since Enzo left.

We don't need someone for the future, or a building or someone who has some big grand strategy or philosophy that takes a while to implement. We simply need someone who can galvanise a squad whose confidence and mentality is on the floor, for 15 games, to keep us up.

I worry that the club will turn its nose up at 'solid' Championship managers and/or be deluded/complacent enough to think they're not in a relegation battle when they are.

Given Tops a bit of a fanboy who has a habit of recruiting people he wants to meet (I’m looking at you Ruud!), we’re skint and Rowett says “ambitious” I’d guess Gerrard.

The quotes from Rowett are interesting. Like others are saying he knows who it is.

Possibly points back to someone Wasserman

Dear Gary, just a word in your shell like matey, Ayew, Daka & Thomas are crap, Choudhury, Vestergaard & Mavididi are also in that category, please under any circumstances don’t play these gobshites, yours sincerely NewquayFox…

Mistic Rudkin has looked into his crystal ball and has confirmed that the next Leicester manager will be a man.............or a woman.

Robbie Keane?

Gerrard, Potter, both with them too.

I think with glover, the linked new tech director at Southampton and the KP obsession points towards Martin. They have loaned Aribo who played a lot under him in prem and he is also unattached.

the rowett comments come mean it’s ambitious becuase Martin’s last club was rangers, or it could mean it’s ambitious in terms of plan, bringing in a manager that is high risk. I really hope I’m wrong.
