We wasted about 50 points under Cifuentes but agreed that King is not the answer. His response to the increasing threat from Southampton the other evening, should rule him out as a long term solution.

Yes wasn't saying Cifuentes was the answer, he should have been sacked a while ago, with a replacement lined up for the next game. It's not rocket science.

But to waste 3 games on an interim  at this point in the season, who doesn't want the job is insane.

Managers don't want to work for these idiots in charge, we're getting more and more desperate and will end up with Sam Allardyce or similar.

He looked absolutely knackered and old at the game last night. Forest were proper shite ( don’t get me started on Wolves ). Their players hitting and hoping and long balling it against a side that didn’t want to play. Players looked lost and confused. Fans vocally pi55ed off.

Does he really walk into a new job straight after that?!?  Especially a championship relegation battle. Have those who want him seen the crap his team have churned out in recent years.

The time for Dyche was when we were falling in the PL.

FWIW, I think he's been dining out on overachievements at Burnley for years. His time at Everton and Forest, frankly, show he's nowhere near Premier League level these days. If we have aspirations of getting back there in three or four years, he's not the one.

But he's more likely to give us a chance of getting back there

Dyche must have been under consideration a few times but the club haven’t gone for him. Perhaps they are concerned that he is a bit blunt and doesn’t play Pep style football. The state the club is in we just need the players fit and some strong management it doesn’t have to be pretty IMO. However I don’t think the club should be handing out yet another 3 year contract more like 18 months.

250k ?

start negotiations at £1m or he’s not listening

he’ll want a basic of £3m so a bonus of 250k doesn’t touch the sides

from a financial perspective, Forest will be paying him until he gets another job.

Does Top have a few million though?

Having aspirations is not a bad thing, but in reality, l highly doubt we are reaching Premier League status for many years.

We are a basket case, with no money.

Mid-table Championship is probably our ceiling. Which is possibly Dyche's level too.

If he's available we 100% have to do everything possible to bring him in. I think he'd be a great fit for our club even more so with where we find ourselves. I just hope the 'he's ex-foest mob' that made Cooper's tenure virtually impossible give this one half a chance.

Steve Cooper was an abomination of a manager for us, the fact he drove to our games with a Notts Forest air freshener in his car was nothing to do with how impossible his tenure was. He was just absolutely bloody awful

The club haven’t gone for him? I’d bet £100 we wanted him in the summer and he has told us no chance, much like any other manager who respects their long term career prospects.

Dyche, unlike Thomas or Enzo might actually be realistic. The other two being beyond unrealistic.

Last two jobs in the PL he has been sacked from. Questions as to whether he gets another gig in PL. local. If we offer some of the lucrative money offered to Enzo (allegedly), with him being local it could be the project he wants.

For it to really be appealing, both Rudkin and Top need to be honest which we know is hard for them. He will want a project. So no 6 months short term role. He will want to know he can undertake a rebuild in the summer

He is a no nonsense football manager, probably not a fancy name or a tactical genius but it’s the type of manager we probably need for the foreseeable.

He is also the only one who we could get that I’d trust with getting us up the table.

But the point is he wont see himself as a lower end Championship manager fighting a relegation battle.

He will still believe there are PL teams waiting for him at the right time. Next season there will be 3 new ones waiting to pull the trigger.

Please stop this nonsense.
We are a mess.
Dyche isn’t coming.
Frank isn’t coming.
I’m just waiting for Will Still and Ryan Mason to be the favourites in the next few days.

He turned us down in the summer as we wouldn't confirm transfer budget for forthcoming seasons

Whenever there’s a managerial change at another club I sit here and briefly think ‘oooh, maybe that’s why we haven’t acted yet! We knew dyche would become available!’…

and then I remember the idiots we have making these decisions 😂

Genuinely recon neither of them pair would take us either.

My worry is these clowns will think they can get Frank/Dyche. They'll  spend another couple of weeks pissing about while we keep losing and getting ourselves into even more trouble.

He’s just left with a 47% win percentage. He’s guaranteed his next 4 premier league fire fighter jobs at any sane club!

Still talking about Dyche lol

People just don't get it do they.

I genuinely think some people are going to wake up in shock one day when they see the club has gone under and wonder what’s happened.

I like the way people think Dyche would automatically drop to a level he’s not managed at for 10 years for only a six month contract and whatever pittance PSR could let us cobble together (given I presume we’re now paying three other managers).

He wouldn’t even be able to bring any players in. I think he’d be great for organising the defence and for Fatawu and Mavididi but would despair at not having even a semblance of a CF.

Well he seems ok to spunk $100k on jet fuel flying here to watch us get spanked

they could find it but psr probably says they can’t afford it  - especially given the risk that we could be a league 1 club in a few months

There a few delusionals in here but more worrying is that our board are at the front of that queue…..
