Slimani wasn’t a bad signing and would have been a 20+ goal a season Premiership striker if he had a season where we played to his strengths.

Soumare isn’t a bad player, I genuinely think he’d excel under the right manager. So far he’s mainly played when we’ve had awful coaches. A man like Nigel Pearson would have him ripping up the league.

He wasn't a great signing at the time, potentially very good player though. I think his best games came alongside Okazaki unsurprisingly.

His record per 90 was good but he scored goals as the most advanced forward, we had Vardy who played as the last man striker - never going to work.

Technically he was pretty mediocre and if he was capable of 20+ PL goals he wouldn’t have ended up at Leicester at 27/28.

Soumare has only ever looked good playing with two or three other central midfielders, he has no attacking ability and defensively he’s a liability. Just not having it that he’s any good

Silko Thomas will end up a better player than Jeremy Monga

If you mean a better player for Maidstone United then yes

I think Mavididi is on a decline and we’d be better off giving Silko minutes, rotating with Monga of course.

I'm just surprised to find out that Anderson is (by your standards) one of the greatest CM's in PL history.

also Darren Fletcher is better than Steven Gerrard.

Rodgers should have gone after the Forest away defeat and brought Dean Smith in earlier to replace, I do think Leicester would have stayed up.

I think we sack Rodgers earlier and we get Unai Emery before Villa do.

I think the club was too much in a mess for Emery, whilst Villa even though they were struggling in 17th there owners had cash to burn. Whilst we were shopping for players at poundland.

Valid point in all fairness. Was under Rodgers we signed Ryan Bennett in the January when chasing Champions League wasn't it? Needed sacking on that alone.

Sacked Rodgers too late. Should have kept him till season end and he’d of kept us up. Dean Smith a joke, never forgive him for that Newcastle game.

That’s a very hot take, given Rodgers humiliated us at Forest away 11 months before that in the FA Cup.

And Rodgers humiliated us in Warsaw 5 months prior to the Forest FA Cup debacle too.  It was around this time our domestic football performances dropped off a cliff too (even though we beat United 4-2 ish around then)

To be honest a draw at Newcastle wasn't a bad result considering they were 4th in the premier league and going into the champions league it was just frustrating that we needed three points instead just one. 5 of the 8 games he managed, we weren't bad we just couldn't get the wins and when three of those games were against teams in the top four it was always going to be difficult.

Madison missed the penalty against Everton and then got a move to a big 6 (ha!) side.

If he scored his move could have been jeopardised.

We went on to draw that game, it's just a little too convenient.

Have a morbid curiosity as to how Russell Martin would do if Marti was given the boot.

Actually agree with this in a very backwards and sadistic way lol

Dean Smith would have been a better long term option than Maresca.

Maresca was never going to be here for the long haul and when he left the consensus was, in the Premier League, we'd need a more pragmatic manager. He would have been so much better than Cooper or RvN.

When he took over (at least 5 games too late), he had us moving in the right direction and was a kick away from keeping us up. He changed the atmosphere in the dressing room straight away.

He has his faults but he's the closet thing we've had to a Pearson overhaul since Pearson.

Think Fulham put paid to that. He was on a bit of a hiding to nothing in all honesty.
