Do people actually look forward to going to a game anymore ?

I'm at a point now where I can't be bothered with games, especially home games, anymore. Mates invited me to the pub tomorrow, while the game is on, and I think I'll be there instead. Never thought I'd say that, especially given it's Sheffield United and I know many people who follow both Sheffield clubs which always make the games between us more interesting.

Away games are a bit more fun as they can be made into a longer stayover but the game itself is usually the worse part. I was bored with this manager two months ago and I've been bored of these players a lot longer than that.

Understand it if you're now tired of the club and tired of going to games.

What I don't understand is constantly going on a forum about that club and telling everyone.

Stick the Tele on. Have a quality street. Put the log burner on. Do a crossword. Browse the radio times. Anything. Arghhhhhhhhh

Been saying to my friends, it’s actually a chore now and I do it through habit I think.Trying to remember the last game I really

enjoyed, probably West Ham at the start of the legendary RVN era 😂.

Sadly I am away this weekend so will miss Wilder having Marti’s pants down.

I still live in hope of being entertained again one day and of being engaged by the club making some reasonably competent decisions to provide a basis for that occurring

The pre match presser could have been from literally any game from three of the last four seasons. "We had a chat at the training ground and we spoke about where we're not doing well. We'll look to put it right for the fans".

BORING.

Agree .  I dont think its just a Leicester thing either, its a general football thing.  How many managers or players do you hear come out with anything different these days?  Standard cliches in any interview.  Its never easy going there, we know they are a good side, i look at the positives we can take from it, Saturday gives us an opportunity to put things right, its a team game or any variation of these you might want to use....blah blah blah yawn

As you say......BORING

Respectfully mate, it’s because we love the club and hate that we are in this state. Nobody just wants to ignore everything and go on with their lives. Most of us genuinely are LTID but doesn’t mean we want to put up with the club being run like this.

might seem annoying for people but I fully get that people want to vent about it. I hate this club at the moment, I don’t support the majority of what we’re doing, don’t think I’ll watch on Saturday as right now it’s not worth getting up early for but I’m still going to engage with what’s going on. I’ll still be annoyed if we lose, and I’ll still cling to a hope that we pull off a result. People need to vent about it to cope, because i don’t think we’re ready to just let the club die in our hearts

Knew I could rely on you for back up.

I honestly wouldn't leave you alone with my crockery for a second.

There’s no need for any predictions. My missus is a blade and this is the first time we’ve played since we’ve been together.

City getting a guaranteed tonking.

Probably because there's far too many interviews and press conferences. We don't need every little detail. Before a game, straight after after a game, you even have interviews during games now. Questions about the next game, the last game (which the previous interview covered anyway). It's boring. I'm not surprised managers come out with the same things, I know I would.

I don't have any issues with the above. I encourage it.

We need to vent it to those who "act with integrity" at the club though.

Not even a tiny bit. In all of my years of supporting this club I’ve never felt less arsed about watching them or the results. It’s a strange feeling.

It's probably because people want to vent their frustration somewhere, rather than kicking the cat.

Most, like myself, are astonished & embarrassed at where we find ourselves, plus the speed at which we've arrived here.

The incompetence is almost biblical.

I’m an armchair supporter and always have been due to either proximity or now habit. I do not look forward to watching the matches at the moment but will continue to do so because I simply feel obliged. I have enjoyed the good times, so must endure the bad times. I don’t expect any game I watch at the moment to be nothing more than frustrating, boring and ultimately disappointing.

But that is the life of a football fan.

Come on LCFC, all I ask for is leave it all on the pitch. Just once.

Gonna have to agree with you on this one, it almost feels like a competition who cares less on here sometimes. Nobody cares less than me tbqh
